Going on holiday on Friday and really fancy filling up a Touch with some travel entertainment.

Anyone fancy popping into an Apple Store and sending me one with a courier!?

Hi,

Long time reader but first ever post:)

Just got my 16Gb Ipod Touch from KRCS in Nottingham they had a few left when i got mine. I had to interupt the guy cus he was playin on the demo unit lol;)

They will reserve for you if you pay 10% over the phone.

Had pre-ordered but since cancelled
 
for me, im not worried about the screen too much (not confirmed if a prob yet), cause when the guy in the shop (who didnt know there was a problem btw) said bring it back and get it exchanged for a new one.

So we will see!
 
I assume KRCS is a resller? I wonder if any other places will manage to get them in stock, PC World and the like?
 
Hi all. I just got my 16Gb iPod touch from the Brent Cross Apple Store (UK). When I went this morning, they said they have plenty left. And the best part is that, as far as I can tell, I got a good screen. :D Just watched Michael Jackson's Thriller music video on it as a test, and the blacks look as great as I would expect, definitely better than my 5G.

I'm syncing it now, and will try to post up a couple of pictures of it playing back a dark movie scene. Thanks to everyone here on the forums, and good luck to the clever hackers currently working on the touch.
 
Mine still has a shipping date of the 28th. I do not really mind as if there are a few problems with it there is the possibility that they could be sorted by then. Saying that, if there are problems there will be hell to pay.

I am still waiting for my new Apple Wireless Keyboard. Ordered it on the 9th Aug and it is scheduled to ship on the 25th Sept :eek:. So much for the 2-3 week wait the day I ordered it.
 
Well I've just had a 'Live Chat' with 'Angela' and she didn't even know the delivery dates had slipped, she did say it could be because

You normally need to allow 3 - 5 days for delivery but it can take up to 7...

I don't think so but I can't say for sure...

:( Just rang KRCS and they've now sold out until next week, the search goes on...
 
My dates has also slipped to 8-9 october. But im live in Sweden so we are used to get things way after the americans:p
 
At 3.30pm (GMT) the Glasgow store had a good supply although they did say they were selling them rapidly.

I have a nice new 16GB which will be unwrapped tonight.

heard that some of your pre orders the date has been pushed back as in the delivery date.
when did you order yours?
Do you guys think i will get my touch before the 19th of OCT cos i'm on holiday for a week and really want the touch as company?
 
I called apple and asked why the dates has slipped to 8-9 october. They said that the reason was that they not have it in stock in Holland anymore and they now had to shipp them from China instead. But they also said that the dates could change. More information should come in your mail when they shipped it.

what date was this?
was it later than 9th cos its weird if i ordered it on the 9th and mine is still 1st and 2nd and if you ordered yours before mine gone to the 4th?

Your's slipped like 2-3 days.. mine has slipped 7 days
and I ordered at 7:35 GMT. Sweden is low on the priority list it seems.
I will be ready to kill if it has screen issues
 
I ordered on the 7th via the German Apple online store and the dates haven't slipped so far.

It still says
Shipping: 28 Sep
Delivery: 1-2 Oct
