Just because you don't give a *** about something doesn't make your statement true. I called you out on your BS and you're trying to backtrack with that excuse.

It is all over any fool can see the difference with the screen quality. Only ignorant people say otherwise

No offense but, I’m beginning to think you have buyers remorse and are attempting to justify your purchase. Your still in the 14 day return period. Maybe you should consider exchanging the 11 for a 11 Pro or you may regret it.

None taken and I knew someone would say that. I have the money to get the 11 pro max if I wanted but I didn’t because I really can’t justify the extra money for the same experience. So I’m curious to see why others are. I went to the apple store yesterday and exchange my white iPhone 11 for a green one. No buyers remorse trust me.

I do not think it is $300 better, but the size is a complete deal breaker for me personally. I was all about trading my my X and getting the 11. As soon as I held the 11 I knew it was a no go, much thicker, wider, and taller.

I can definitely understand that

Returns are diminishing on any product as you go up in price.

There's a high-value mid tier price point for almost everything, but beyond that, you can't expect product b to be x times better than product a, if the price is x times higher.

I'm only interested if something is better to me/better period, not better for the money. But of course, this is all personal.

To me, the 11 Pro Max is what offers value, because I love the large OLED screen, stainless steel build, better water resistance, and having a telephoto lens.

This is the feeling I'm getting as well after the post you quoted. Seems like OP is more interested in discrediting others' reasons for selecting the Pro over the 11 than having a meaningful discussion.

Personally, the biggest factor for me was the size. I used the XR for a few days last year and really tried to get used to it but it just wasn't comfortable for me. A friend of mine still has his and any time he hands me his phone to check something out I'm reminded of how happy I am with the size of the XS/Pro.

The fast charger in the box, OLED display, improved battery life and additional camera along with being the ideal size in my hand absolutely makes it worth the extra $300 for me. Not everybody will agree and that's cool.

I had the 256 XS last year and when I went to upgrade, I was using 72 of that 256. I see that as a massive waste so I went with the "gimped" 64 for my Pro. I'm currently sitting at 34 used.

That’s totally not the case. I think you are getting in your feelings because of my point of view. The guy that quoted me has reasons to believe I have buyers remorse but that isn’t the case. I’m the other hand you feel like I’m “attacking” your purchase is laughable. I’m a grown ass man and you shouldn’t get offended because I started this thread.

Again, I love my 11 and I’m have no intentions of buying a pro or non pro. From my point of view I cannot justify the extra money for the pro models so I’m simply curious to see what ppl think hence why I started this thread. Don’t get in your feelings, just say what makes you go for the 11 pro and life is good

1080p is better than 720p? Shocking! You still spread BS about 7/8 plus iphones though.

What ********? All the specs you are stating is about camera and cpu. I am talking about screen quality. I don't capture 4k videos on my pro because i do not have a 4k phone to display it on. You capturing 4k on you device that dont even show 1080p

None of this has anything to do with you spreading misinformation though so...why would I need to discuss any of this with you when it's not the point of my contention?

You keep deflecting and trying to move the goal posts. I'm not budging.

My debate here isn't even the fact about the $300 more. It is about the screen quality people are saying they can't see the difference. That is probably people who never seen an OLED before or a 1080p device screen. That differences is very obvious and I would rather be with a 7plus or 8 plus before going to xr or iphone 11. Hence, the reason I went pro

These threads are a never ending exercise in cognitive dissonance. There is no right or wrong answer. Ongoing mental masturbation with no end in sight. Everyone should have the phone they want or need or can afford and be done with it. Everyone’s needs are values are different.

You upgraded from XS Max? How do the OLEDS compare between the two?

Keep in mind, you can get an 11 with 128gb, but with the Pro you have to make the jump to 256 or stay with the gimped 64.

I never pay for storage anymore. I only get 64 now. With all the cloud storage options there is no need to pay extra. I don’t need every single picture or video stored on the phone

I do not know why people are trying to justify the purchase of the iPhone 11 everywhere they go. Some people are paying to go pro so let them.

I think you guys are very sensitive. This isn’t a hostile thread, we’re just discussing it. I have seen many good points personally. But I genuinely do not see the $300 gain personally. If you do then more power to you, we’re just discussing. There’s no need to be on the defensive. And for the record (as well as to make some of y’all feel a bit better about this thread), the pro models are clearly better than the non pro one, that’s not what we’re discussing because there’s no debate there. The question is is the price difference justified TO YOU. Personal opinion. Share it and don’t be butthurt

I too went from an XS Max to an 11 Pro Max. For me, screen is easier to read, but I am not sure it is because of the difference in OLED panels. For me, other factors such as increased nits, also comes into play.

These threads are just fine. This is where everyone can share their point of view. The issue arises when someone gets butthurt and it creates a back and forth. The thread itself is no issue at all. It’s just like a youtuber giving his opinion on a device and all of a a sudden you have many butthurt ppl leaving stupid comments. The YouTube video is just fine, it’s the nonsense comments that are the issues. Same here. Just share your opinion and life goes on :)

The pro now colors look slightly richer to me in dark mode also. I used dark mode in xs max and never complained about too bright. The pro is extra brighter and slightly more colorful

For some people, an extra $300 is nothing. For others, it really matters. There is no objective way to assign a monetary value to each feature. 'Worth it' will vary from person to person. I strongly prefer the max size, so it was an easy choice for me.

Good point.

It’s funny you say that because right before the iPhone 11 I had a note 10 and before that a oneplus 7 pro. Now is there a difference? Absolutely. But those are android devices calibrated differently etc... i don’t have those 2 phones to compare them to the 11 but I’m sure I would notice a difference. I think the difference is less noticeable when you compare iPhone oled to iPhone lcd vs android. Apples to apples...

There is a reason they cranked the brightness up on the LCD models in the store. LCD is really dull as far as i can see with my naked eyes.

With the screen I think you can argue either way, there are benefits to the LCD panel over the OLED - this I would say is very much a personal preference thing. As far as the cameras go, if it was a 3x zoom lens, I'd probably agree with those saying it's a considerable advantage. At 2x it's of pretty debatable benefit over just digital zoom. The stainless build, frosted glass and thinner profile are probably the biggest difference - a more premium feel in the hand. If you have it in a case though, again you're not even going to tell...

Unless you are shooting loads of 4k video on vacation..

As others have stated, paying the extra money depends on the individual. For some an extra 300 isn’t a massive amount when your already paying nearly 1k if the money isn’t going to affect other aspects of your life like bills.

For me, the size was the main factor in buying the 5.8” Pro model. I had an XR and it was just a touch too big, but a great phone for most I expect.

I agree with you! I like the regular pro but I decided to go big because of the battery lol
