I will get the black one, i prefer black. It doesn't reflect light at nights and things like that.

Who the hell uses ipad in bright sunlight? It is called glare.
Therefore your argument=bad

Excuse me, if there is bright sunlight then you increase the brightness of the screen. The iPad is a mobile device not a computer that is more restrictive in mobility.

The argument was not bad.

I have the black iPad 1 (of course, only option).
I picked up the white iPad 2 by choice.
Got the iPhone 4S in white (mainly to differentiate from my wife's black iPhone).

I chose black with the new iPad.

At the end of the day, there is no difference except for preference.

I loved my white iPad, I just wanted a change.

The bezel might be slightly less obvious with the black but I never really felt that.
I would get another white one in a minute.

I have a white iPad and a black iPhone and I like the white one better. I plan on getting a white iPhone when it comes out later this year.

First of all, I can't help but LOL @ the OP's thread inadvertently getting hijacked.

Secondly, after 2 black iPads, I exchanged my new black 32 for a white 64 this morning. Best decision I've made.

Thought it'd be distractive for watching movies but it is not. At all, thankfully.

I think the white versions are ugly and there's a very specific reason behind it.

This. The difference between plastic colors of the edge and the rest of the phone. This is exactly why I went with black :)

I like the look of the White better. I have a white iphone. But I bought the Black Ipad. I wanted to mix it up, have one of each color. Seemed like a good idea at the time. I regret the decision somewhat.

But I'm ok with Black, its not a big deal. I care more about the functionality of the IPad than the color.

The black blends into the background better for movie viewing..... especially for widescreen films. I also feel the white just looks cheaper. It's a matter of taste, but I'm not loving the white bezel look.

My iPad stays in a case most of the time, but like the iPad 2, I bought a white one it just looks really clean.

I got the black iPad, as I came to the same conclusion many of you have pointed out: the black bezel is less noticeable when watching movies.

For me its about the content on the screen, not the bezel.

I personally think the White looks cleaner but the Black just looks richer. My brother and i both bought the black Iphone 4S while my Mom bought the white one. My brother also has a black Ipad 2 and to me it might look weird playing GTA 3 with a white bezel. When I bought the new ipad today I kind of did wnat the white one though so i could differentiate between my brother's but my Best Buy ran out of stock for the 16gb ones so I just got the black. It's my 17th bday :)

That seems like a contradiction, lol.

I don't notice the stupid bezel on either my black or white iPads. But for sure I love the white one sooooooo much more so. (And maybe, just maybe, because the white one is the iPad 3 :D)

Michael

I prefer the black iPad. I had a white iPad 2 for a few hours and switched it. The white just looks weird to me. The content of the screen doesn't stand out as much to me. Just not my cup of tea. Now if they had a purple one, I'd be all over it!

Only suckers buy white ones. Black ones rule.

It doesn't reflect light? It's practically a freaking mirror. Were you serious?

Michael

I think he means the color white reflecting colors not the glass reflecting light. The glass reflects light on both colors but the white?..oh nevermind

Just to clarify, it's not a matter of "ADD" but rather a matter of visual perception ... by most brains. It's well known that the surrounding colors influence perception of the center subject.

I ended up with a white iPad 2, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it influenced/enhanced my perception of the warm yellowness of that particular display. Heh.

I'm not sure that I agree. If "It's well known that the surrounding colors influence perception of the center subject." I missed out on that. Can you give me a link for that info?

The white border disappears when I watch a movie or video. Are you telling me that I'm an exception to the rule? I don't believe that.

I have a white 4S and new iPad. The only bad part of having a white iPad is that most cases comes in black, it's hard finding a matching white case.

I had a black briefly, I love the white way more. Also matches my white iPhone. I'm a guy, not gay. White ones look elegant, sexy and high class. ohhhhhh less show fingerprints

For some reason, that made me chuckle in a really elementary school kid kind of way.

I agree with you. Had a white iPad 2, went with black for a change. Other than movies, white is nicer for everything else. Last year I went with white to change from my original black though.

The next step hopefully is a edge to edge screen!

And where do you then put your fingers when holding it up? On the info on the screen?
There is a reason the bezel is about thumb-wide!

You do not know what you are talking about.

Do you???

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S (64GB): Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B179 Safari/7534.48.3)

My wife has a white 4S, and mine is black. I can't stand hers! The white is just obnoxious to me - it sticks out like a sore thumb when you're watching videos (which I do, a lot) and even when you're browsing the web, the white of the bezel is a different temperature than the white of the display and it just looks bad, in my opinion. White iPad? Never.

I got the white. I also have a 1st gen black ipad

I don't watch movies on my ipad, but I can see why people who do, would want the black one. Side by side both my ipads black wins for viewing video.

As for me I find the white one much more easy on the eyes to browse the web and read books. Side by side white wins for reading and web.

Plus the white matches the plug...My opinion of course. :)
