I've got my iPhone 7 Plus 128BM (Gold) yesterday and it has a slight difference between the left and right part of the display. The left part towards the top seems to have a slight more pinkish (or call it red) tint.

I had the same problem with my iPad Pro 9,7" and changed it during the first 14 days. The new iPad is much better, the difference is hardly noticeable.

My iPhone 7 Plus is not that bad as the first iPad was. My husband has a iPhone7 which has a very even display colour (no tint at all).

In comparison to my iPhone 6 the display is not yellow at all...I've read a lot about the much warmer tone of the iPhone 7.

Question: is there anybody who has this problem with the slight pinkish tint on the left side or towards the top of the screen?

Thanks a lot in advance!
I have tested that if you turn the color filters on and adjust it to cooler, the pinky tint may be less obvious.

Thanks, von7ces! I have tested that, too.
Turned the colours a bit towards yellow (I like the True Tone function of the iPad Pro)...but as the pinkish tint is only at one side, it is visible anyway (i.e. one sees a (slight) difference between both sides).

I agree. They could put screens on these phones that were perfect to the naked eye. However, they have much less restrictive QC than that. I can only surmise that the reason is that most people don't notice or don't care.

I often wonder whether my eyes can see color better or pick up on these things more. Or maybe it's just because I'm a perfectionist, while most people have lower standards.

Who knows! It does make it annoying to buy Apple products though!

Anyway, looks like after going through 6 phones I found one without yellow on the bottom. LOL

I think that some people are more sensitive to color variations. I'm one of those who sees the yellow. I don't like yellow screens, but uneven screens are the worst and the most distracting for me. Fortunately the screens on the iPhones I've had including the 7 are good ones with very minor flaws that I can live with. I've returned some iPads in the past however for uneven or yellowish screens.

and also, I found that turning up the lightness can reduce a little bit the uneven, not using the automatic adjustment....

well, it pushes me to come up with a lot of way to deal with it......still annoyed

At what brightness settings do you keep your phones normally?

How come apple hasn't said anything, they probably did this on purpose or don't want to do a major recall because of the display.
I went to apple yesterday, I was going to get a replacement 7+ but I forgot to backup my phone so I decided to wait. Then I went today and some other guy said it was the very small difference (it is not, it is very big). So I talked to apple chat support and they said they will give me a new replacement on Thursday (booked me an appointment). Let's hope i don't have to talk to their manager (they told me to say that)

Ipad air 2 camera, im not sure but it looks normal on camera but trust me the 7+ (left) is way yellower.

Full brightness, night shift off

Hm, for me the left one looks absolutely okay. You may see the difference only if you compare to the right one.
I would have no problem, if my screen was a bit warmer or more yellow *overall*. But the light pinkish tine on only one side is not that nice.

For my iPad Pro I got used to it...also using True Tone (I like the warmer touch when reading in a dark environment, it's much better for my eyes). Hope I can get also used to it with my iPhone.

well, yellow is not the worst issue. The uneven is.
Mine is just like yours, from top to bottom, the color changes like pink--blue--yellow.......which makes me want to have another replacement........actually it is my second one from the exchange. The former one has a yellower bottom......sigh

by the way, they told you that you need to meet the manager if you want a replacement?
actually, the manager helped me to have the replacement and told me they won't let me to have more replacement until I found a perfect one.....and I want to go there again and don't want to meet the manager....

If you have the money or credit just buy multiple from apple online. You can do two at a time. Keep the best of the two, return the other, and order two more. Rinse repeat. You'll eventually find one that is good.

Apple will let you do this over and over. I'm not sure when they'd stop you!

I guess we will find out tomorrow, if i get a good manager or a bad one. Apple support told me they have to replace it since the genius bar notes on monday said so, and if i had a problem i could call the manager on duty. Ill keep ya posted

If the yellow display is not an issue why isnt Apple putting their 2 cents in and saying something. Just giving replacements is not going to help

Good lord that I thought my eyes were too good for my own sake. I also have this problem that about 1/3 bottom is more "dull" than the upper 2/3. I have 2 7 Plus and both have this issue but it's not too severe. I also have a regular 7 and it seems the screen is more even.

Ive noticed that 7 is darker on thr bottom whereas 6s was darker on top.
Maybe they put the LED's on top now instead of the bottom? I've yet to see a 7 or a 6 without some sort of uneven lighting or dull yellowish tinge somewhere on the screen.

My 1/3 bottom of my 4.7 inch is slightly dimmer/yellowish/tinge also.

I don't see any benefit in starting the exchange game at this point though. They are all probably like this again. (3 years in a row now)

You are holding the phone wrong.

The solution for my two 6s's was to tilt-it with the top closer to the eyes, and then it was almost even.

For the 7 you must tilt-it with the bottom close to your eyes.

Hope this helps.

waiting for your news :)

In the german forum there is one user who writes that he has seen this pinkish tint on the left side at 3 iPhone 7 (his one, his girlfriend and one he sent back because of a dead pixel). That's what I'm afraid of....sending it back and getting one which hat some other problem (hissgate, dead pixel, ...).

Just like the former period ones with dimmer bottom :)

Okay, thanks for the info! I'm going to keep mine. Fortunately it does not make any hissgate sounds at all (many people are reporting that) :D

To those saying they are all like this, they are not. I eventually got a uniform screen after 5 returns. I'm happy I did it. Beautiful screen!
