iphone 6 mass wifi+bluetooth defect

I found a wifi issue on my iPhone 6. When connected to a 5ghz connection, at 20+ feet, the wifi crashes when a Bluetooth device is connected. I tested this with the iPhone 5, the problem didn't occur. I even used a different router, same thing. It was present before the 8.1 update. I even got the phone replaced and the problem persisted. The guy at the Mac store told me that it was an known problem with every iPhone 6.... And that it would be fixed with the 8.1 upgrade. He was incorrect, the problem didn't go away. I suspect that it's a hardware problem without a fix. I even made a video about it. I think this will be my last iPhone... I miss Steve jobs.

I received two iPhone 6 at&t 64g Space Gray yesterday. On mine the home button was loose so if you moved it with your finger back and forth it moved. Also my husbands screen was loose on the lower right side so it would squeak if you pressed on it. I made an appointment with the Genius Bar and they replaced both of our screens no charge. They're fine now.

I also had a loose home button but I opted to return mine for a refund. It seems odd that the loose home buttons are only showing up on the space grey models.

That seems odd because I have the space gray model and I don't have a loose home button. Maybe I'm the lucky one. I had silver 6 Plus before and home button was loose.

I just swapped a 6 for a 6 Plus (Space Grey) and have this problem too. Contacting support to ask for a replacement. Also makes an annoying pre-click clicking sound.

Download DEAD SPOTTER Free from Apple app store make sure turn on brightness 100% check from there.

So read up on this thread without any issues thinking my phone was perfect and I used this app and found no dead pixel. Checked again with the brightness all the way up, and BAM. DEAD PIXEL. DAMNIT. i purchased my phone at my phone carrier store about a month and a one week ago. Will I still be able to get a replacement? Idek if it's necessary? Will a dead pixel give me troubles in the long run?

If you have an apple store near you, you can definitely take it in and have the genius take a look. If the Genius can spot the dead pixel then they will likely replace you a service unit (I say service unit because any replacement phone is a service unit).

What they will do is reproduce the issue you are having and if it can, they will replace it. Also ask them about if they can do the screen replacement only (only if they have them available), there is no point in getting the whole device replaced just for a dead pixel on the screen.

After I found the dead pixel I contacted Apple via chat and made an appointment. After that I continued to read the thread.... After reading stories about people's replacement phones having other issues, I'm having second thoughts about going in to my appointment. (I thought replacing my phone meant having a BRAND new phone. I thought wrong, I really didn't know how that worked until today.. Had the 3GS and 4S prior upgrading to my 6 and never had to get them replaced). So I might just settle with the dead pixel because the phone is in pristine condition, no loose buttons, discolouring, etc. just the dead pixel. What do you think?

I've had my 6 since launch day and my reception is terrible, many dropped calls. its been replaced by Apple and gone through by Verizon and Verizon says it's the phone. Back to the Apple Store to see about replacing it again.

I have two spots on the screen -- look kinda like drips -- something wrong with the application of the oleophobic coating no doubt. You can clean the screen and they go away. But if you do anything at all -- say, breathe on the phone to cause momentary condensation on the screen, or just put it in your pocket and get a little dust, or use your fingers on the screen... the two "drip" areas immediately stand out. Can't see them when the screen is on, so I figure I don't care enough to get the phone replaced on account of it.

Everything else is tight. No squeaky screen, loose home button, or anything like that.

I have a chunk of glass that's defected. It was hidden by my case. Phone hasn't been dropped and it's not sharp so it's not a crack. But rather than being white under the glass it shines silver and looks like a chip under the glass. Nearest store is 45 minutes away and finding a 128gb plus is nigh impossible. Still within 14 days but I was hoping to have been lucky. I mean, I had backlight bleed on the bottom of the phone but I could deal with that. An actual physical defect not so much. And when I bought the phone it was literally placed in the case right away so I never saw it while inspecting for pixels. XD

I had to returned 3 cause of the home button im done for a while. Im just gonna stick with my 5 till next year and hope apple fixes this. Is so annoying having the loud clicking "loose" button.

Mine is great aside from a sometimes "clicky" and loose hollow feeling home button. I've been told that's normal by three different Apple support people. It works fine, just feels weird, so I guess I'll just hang with it.

This is my image collection from my first and second (replacement) iPhone 6 64GB Silver.

The first, has some screen issue, the right side seems darker than the left side: http://homokozo.czo.hu/IMG_3938.JPG (first iPhone on the right, and second is on the left). The first arrived at 10. November and today received the replacement unit.

Now, the replacement unit also have some screen problems (yellow tint, and some darker spots, but it's seems better than the first) and i'm getting something new: i have some build quality problems: http://homokozo.czo.hu/IMG_5517.JPG . It's a 2-3 mm long gap between the screen and the aluminum frame. The second problem is, i hear some weird click like sound, when i press the lover right corner on the phone (below the screen).

Maybe the third will be better.

6+ 64, Browser quits working yet wifi still connected

I am having to reboot the phone every time you stop or advance a you tube or other video. The video will not restart and the time signature advances a few seconds and then resets over and over. If you close the tab and try another web page it will not connect and I have to reboot the phone to get internet working again. This piece is going back to Apple. never had this issue with my 4 or 5S. Is this possibly a NAND issue?

I would have to say that my phone is defective because all the buttons appear to be loose; even the home button feels like it's moving around. The silent button is the obvious one. I've seen some posters say that it's somewhat normal, but I don't want problems down the line so unfortunately I will be returning my iPhone 6. I'm disappointed but I think I'm going to wait at least a month before ordering another phone. They're making millions of phones and there are going to be defects.

It's not good enough though is it? Paying all that money for a mass-produced gadget with zero QC. These things have had loose buttons for years! How hard is it to design a phone which can be manufactured with tight buttons?? Nothing I own has loose buttons apart from iPhones! Not my tv remote, the switches in my car, the buttons on my watch, the keys on my calculator, NOTHING. Why on earth does this issue plague iPhones? My i5 has had loose buttons since day one and I refuse to accept it ever again. Shoddy. A premiun product sold at premium prices shouldn't have something so basic as loose buttons, but a high percentage of iPhones always do.

I waited until the end of November before purchasing another iPhone 6 and I finally have one that is defect free. All the buttons are firm!! Lol. I don't think I'll be buying launch-day phones again.

I have the same issue. Honestly it's not worth my time to fix it.

Did anyone else return their 6 because of darkish blob areas in the upper middle of their screen? I notice them when viewing white backgrounds and scrolling text. I opened up a solid white page and sure enough the screen isn't perfect. My phone is a "certified like new" from att. Anybody else have an experience with exchanging for one of these before I get on the phone with them?

I searched around a little more and I see another complaining of uneven backlighting on a reddit article and I think that's what I'm dealing with.

Looks like he went through 3 phones and they all had the same issue!! I'm wondering if this would probably happen too me! My screen is a little darker up in the right hand upper corner too. Maybe this is just how it is with some lcd screens. Wonder what I should do?! Call up att and try to get another one? Or will it just be a big hassle? Alright guys fire up a solid white screen and crank up your brightness and tell me if you see any dark blobby areas!!! Sorry if you do!

Ah crap I'm not alone!!! 31,000 views!!! Maybe I'll just deal with the crappy backlight. This sucks!!

The display of my iphone 6 is slighty brighter at the top. But when looking at some of the posted pictures, I got still one of the better ones.

My 6+ has some play in the mute switch, it's loose in both positions, but other than that it's perfect. I'm going to stick with it because knowing my luck the replacement will have loose volume buttons, a dodgy home button, and a yellow screen☺️
