Is Your iPhone 6 Defective In Any Way?

I voted on this saying perfect, but in fact now I am on my 2nd replacement, mainly due to dropped calls from verizon, I shut down voice and data on the phone and went into my account and turned off advanced calling, you must do both or advanced calling is still on.

This one seems perfect for calling finally, but I do from time to time get apps closing, not many but the last one barely did that.

When I went into the apple store for this one, they said I had tons of springboard errors and crashes, that I never noticed before.

3 other iphone 6 and 6 plus owners had no problems to date, me I am reloading from a new iphone for the 2nd time now, this sucks, but I think this one is good!

Haven't had any problems with mine yet, neither has the wife. Crossing my fingers though. 2.5 months in, still 21.5 to go. Hopefully don't have another power button issue like my iPhone 5

Hmm... Is volte causing calls to drop or audio to cut out?

I've noticed this happening several times on my 6+. I have volte enabled.

Losing call reliability and signal ubiquity totally defeats the reason I pay a premium for VZ.

It causes both, BUT it could also be a bad 6+, defective 6+'s (at least with verizon) seem to be a problem no one knows about. I had one at least, and tried everything disabling volt and advanced calling, new sim, flush of the phone, nothing but a new phone worked.

some have been thru many, but now I have a perfect one, so they do exist.

none of my other phones would do this,
volt disabled (on phone and account)
I make a call, the phone says 1x
as soon as I hang up it switches back to LTE

also I had only 3g in areas my wife had LTE, with a new phone we both have the same (she has a 6)

new sim and flush did nothing, a new phone fixed it:)

On my third 6+ so far - and I'm really frustrated.

First one: Had a rough edge out of the box and glass wasn't properly aligned when secured

Second one: String of dead pixels

Third one: Just got a string of dead pixels a few days ago - appeared randomly and will not go away.

Fourth time is a charm?

It's really frustrating that they can't figure out how to get rid of imperfections. I'm thinking my best bet is to wait awhile until the next batch comes in. Was it the launch batch of 6+ devices that weren't perfect?

Wow you had an horrible experience like me (2)iPhone 6+128gb gold replacements dust under screen and stuck pixels.
(1)iPhone 6 128gb gold replacement dust under screen.
(4)iPad Air 2 128gb gold replacement dust under screen and stuck pixels.
(1)LG G3 16gb black replacement stuck pixels.

Going to Apple store this week to pick up my mother's iPhone 6 128gb I hope this is defect free. Lol

Pretty much gonna have to go in for my 3rd replacement as this replacement has now developed the clicky screen issue on the left side of my phone. I can hear the screen click when I press down on it almost as if the screen is raised from the phone. It certainly doesn't look like its raised just sounds like it. Plus when I got this replacement the silent switch was loose but I decided I wasn't going to bother them with that but I guess it was a sign from the beginning.

Wow so many people having bad luck. Still on my launch day iphone 6 not a single flaw or problem.

I don't know if it can be classified as an effect, but the front assembly kinda gives in the metal backplate next to the volume buttons, under a light source, if pressed. You have to like be extra focused to see this, but it gives in by 0.5mm probably.

Being the OCD person I am, I went to 3 different stores and tested out all the demos. Not to my surprise, every single one of them exhibited the same behaviour, exact same spot. The reason behind this has got to do with the way the phone is designed. If you look at any tear down of the 6 you will see some small support clip things, placed all around the perimeter of the screen. However, there is none near the area of the volume buttons due to there not being any room for them there. Probably that's a structural weak point of the phone. They're all that way.

I cannot say I'm mad, maybe mildly annoyed at Apple. The volume buttons area has always exhibited some weird behaviour. My 3G and my 3GS phones all had light bleeding next to the buttons (remember the black tape fix?) and my 4S had some of it to a very big degree and now this.

The vibrate on my 6 feels different, and it's a bit louder, but doesn't bother me.

One issue so far is that my 6 seems to be getting really warm. But it's loading photos from iCloud, updating apps and all kinds of other stuff in the background, so I have a feeling of that is the more likely issue right now.

The vibration feels and sounds different because it is a thinner and less hollow device ... Its a technical term called resonance .... Its all physics

Mine has very tiny bits of dark blob in the top middle. However my first 6 had scratches out of the box, massive overheating and shutting off issues. My second 6 had a blue screen of death and was unable to be turned back on. So this one, tiny little blobs of dark light, I won't complain.

First one was perfect
Bought a second and I get this
Its like a permanent finger print that's brighher than the rest of the screen. Sigh

I just developed an orange spot on my screen yesterday. You can only really notice the orange blotch on a black back ground.

Im really actually pissed off because every single apple product i have purchased has had to be re turned for something.

i think ill wait to go get an exchange for a while...maybe until the last day of my warranty!

I'm about to take mine in for a screen issue. I've only had the phone 1 day. Will they give me a used iPhone??!! (6 plus)

They will give you a service unit (refurb) if you visit the genius bar. Get a refund and repurchase to ensure you get a new phone.

iPhone 6 plus screen when touched the LCD would wave, like I was pressing on the screen but I wasn't just touching it, sent back getting a new one Friday sent to me, fingers crossed I laid full price. QC is not the same anymore.

Any on the 6 and 6 Plus so far?...backlight bleed, dead pixels, dents, dings off the bat?

Didn't mean to start a depressing thread but since I'm trying to get one still, I want to have an idea of how the initial units are doing so far.

Yes, I got 6+ 128GB Gold, Certified Like New (I guess not :p) Dec 1, but vertically down the center of the display did not respond to touch. I took it to the Genius Bar, and they replaced the display under warranty. Everything is working fine with it now.

How stiff is your silent switch? Mine is pretty solid when turned on silent, but somehow shaky when set to loud. Luckily not that bad that it would make a rattling noise when shaking the phone.

thats the sim card tray. take it out and see if it does the same.

Perfection, not a blemish to be seen.
But the owner has issues.
Decided to get the 16GB model... "I really only use a few apps!".
Big mistake, don't do it.

Mine isn't shaky, but I do think it's a lot easier to accidentally switch in my pocket than the 5S was. The older iPhones were too easy to switch also.
