Is Your iPhone 6 Defective In Any Way?

I had four screens with dead pixels and stuck pixels and light bleed but my fifth one was perfect out the box.

I just purchased a (Two Note 4) too the screen was amazing out the box I wish Apple in the future switch to AMOLED screens no light bleed and no stuck pixels and dead pixels.

I going to skip next year iPhone 6s hope iphone 7 uses AMOLED screens.
I really hope Apple would stay with IPS display instead. AMOLED and their ridiculous Pen tile matrix are good for Samsung.

My 6 Plus is as perfect as I have had in an Apple device. My thumbs, however, are a little short. . . ;)

When playing songs in music apps and browsing or opening apps i somtimes get a randomly pop/clack stuttering sound.
It only happens for a millisec but only when the phone is trying to load something..

But noticable.

I think I'm giving up after 4 iPhone 6 64GB space gray models. I'm tired of the lack of QC. First one exchanged for dark upper screen where the battery icon is. Replacement had a loose home button and the screen click over the volume buttons. Screen was ok. Returned and waited almost 2 months. Tried again. Third was ordered from ATT. Perfect screen, but again a loose home button, crooked mute switch and a ding in the metal by the headset jack. Hung on to it for 2 weeks, but ended up returning it too. Just tried again yesterday at the local Apple Store. Out of the box it had a dark upper screen, loose home button and it was bent/bowed. If you laid it screen down on a flat surface you could slide a business card under it without touching. First bent iPhone I'd seen in person. They tried to exchange it but because I used Next they couldn't get the upgrade eligibility reset. So I took a refund and left. Pretty disappointed overall. Over half the display iPhone 6s had darker upper screens there. So I was worried going in. The 6+s looked better. May be time to move on to something else. Bummer.

I argee I used to enjoy unboxing Apple products now seems like a luck of draw getting one without defects and arguing with apple staff to exchange it. QC needs to be better in the future.

The other day I had weird screen flickering. This is my third one, as long as it doesn't keep doing it, I'm keeping it.

Actually the apple employees are pretty good about exchanging devices with in the 14 days they have really good customer service I never had a problem and believe I swap plenty of devices phones, iPads etc.

I'm not sure if this is a defect or a software glitch. But yesterday, on day 15 of having my Space Gray 64GB 6 plus, I picked it up and it was completely dead. It was at 80% battery, so not a dead battery. It wouldn't come back on until I held down the power button and the home button for 10 seconds.

I just received a week 40 (October) from the genius bar and it's perfect! Nice bright white screen, no scratches, nicks, dents etc.. Only thing I don't like is the vibration seems a little bit weaker then the one I got replaced..

Mark under glass (top left corner)
Glass is separating from device
Light is leaking through the side of the glass
Light is leaning through the mute switch
Dead pixel

Other than that, the device is great. It's the best phone I've ever used hands down

Glass separating.... Dead pixel (never seem one in an iPhone) .... And you still consider it the best phone you had? Why didn't you return it for a better unit?

Week 38. Yellow tint all over the screen... mostly on the edges. Week 38. I havent asked for a replacement yet.

Is there a way to identify in which country it was originally sold? I want to check if it is actually from Europe or US.

I have this too. I was going to check the iPhone 6 display models and see if it's just part if the design. Worst case scenario, Apple would only need to provide a SIM card tray designed to spec.

I think they have some issues in their production process.

On what phone you have this?

I've ordered 2 iPhone 6's. One golden and one space gray.

The gray one is perfect, the golden one has the same issue with the SIM tray. When I use the SIM tray of the gray phone and put it in the golden one, it fits seamlessly, when putting the golden tray in the gray one, it doesn't fit completely.

I've already contacted apple about this, they sent a SIM tray replacement, but the issue is the same. and I'm 200% sure it's not a problem with the golden phone.

Now apple says it's just a cosmetic issue and that they don't proceed in fixing these situations.

Wtf... it's a 800€ phone... not a crappy Nokia of 25€... Or am I being picky now? :)

Oh great that makes me feel confident about sending in my second i6 64GB space gray! (Sarcasm) yeah I sent my original in for screen uniformity issues for the dark grayish areas on the screen. Mine were right in the center. The weird thing is is that I could gently massage the gray areas away temporarily but after a few minutes they would make their way back. Maybe the lcd had uneven pressure somewhere but it wasn't right and looked like crap on white backgrounds. I sent it in for "repair" and they said they couldn't find any problems but they sent me a replacement anyways which to me clearly shows there was a problem but they just didn't want to admit it. Anyways I get my replacement and first thing I notice is the FaceTime camera is shifted left with the grayish stuff entering the cutout! I couldn't believe it! And also the whole upper right quadrant is dimmer than the rest of the screen. Now I'm noticing there is a slight part of the home button that is missing black color too. So dissappointed! I contacted them right away and said I can get another replacement but I'm wondering if I should wait awhile for quality to improve or play the lottery again. I'm thinking many people have a lot of these same issues and either don't see it or just don't care. But I think when you pay so much for a phone from a company that prides itself on quality and perfection all of these issues are very unacceptable.

I've been through 5, a few had non-working silent switches, then loose screens. Currently in the same boat and wondering what to do... What do you mean by the dark screen?

Looks like a shadow along the upper edge of the screen. The photo shows what I saw. Not mine, but best example I could find.

Physically my phone is pretty much perfect. The only problem I've been having is it can be sitting on the nightstand charging and suddenly Siri will come one and say she couldn't understand what I said. And the phone is locked. It's done that several times since Sept so it must be a software issue. I do have "Hey Siri" tuned on. Maybe she just thinks I said it to her. Lol. Weird. I don't know.

edit: Just checked it. She must think I said "Hey Siri" when I didn't. Anybody else have this happen?

My silver 6 128gb has a very beautiful screen, I don't see any defects...
But the silent switch is kinda floppy when in ringing position and very lightly crooked. It does not cause any problems, since it does oppose some resistance to switch and stays put when in silent mode.
Now I noticed the plastic frame around the screen does not perfectly adhere to the glass at the bottom right corner, about 1 cm above the grey antenna stripe.
The phone works perfectly, I really don't know if I should get this exchanged. I just wouldn't want it to break over the next few months!

Only you can decide for yourself basically.

I'd rather take my defective iPhone 6, over a perfectly working Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4 or gs3.

And I am getting a replacement iPhone soon.
