Is Your iPhone 6 Defective In Any Way?

The front camera for my 6 seems out of place(have noticed I'm not the only one with the problem on this forum).

Don't want to take it in to the store yet as it still functions properly.

Do you think I'm wrong not to take it in now?

I got my white box replacement in the mail today.. So far it's Perfect no loose buttons or fingerprintgate. However it runs a bit hotter than my previous iPhone 6 plus and the screen isn't as bright but I'm satisfied.

Mine has the shifted front facing camera. Now it has something worse but thats due to my own stupidity and removing the case while home and not putting the main one back on. It slipped of couch and now i got a shattered screen with a dent/scuff on the bottom next to headphone jack.

PS: I don't want to derail the thread but any idea how do fix a surface scuff/scratch on aluminium edge? Sorry again for going off-topic.

Slight warping and a scuff mark near the SIM tray (out of the box).

Works fine though.

So far mines' good. I'd like to swap for a 128gig, but might not in case of getting a defect-laden phone. What a quandary. How do I check for dead pixels? If I find one, that might put me over the edge to try for a 128 gig.

I wouldn't recommend hunting for them. If you can't see any in normal use then I'd let it be.

16 GB black 6+, purchased on launch day in Beijing. Flawless unit.

My brother says his 6+'s screen scratches extremely easily, though.

IPhone 6 64 Gb grey just received as Christmas gift. Flawless.

Load up dead spotter from the App Store go to the white screen and look for darkish gray smudges. Might have to turn the brightness up then down and hold a various angles. I haven't seen one yet with great uniformity! Hopefully my 3rd replacement will be ok. Not counting on it.

I'm not seeking for non existent issues on my iPhone.
My unit is as good as my previous iPhone 5S was.

There's several issues but I expected it, so no surprise. Plus next year the bugs will be fewer, the bending won't be a problem, Apple never makes the same mistake with second gen models. That'll be the one to have. Each of my S models have been quite good.

.... There is no bending if you don't sit on it

Three months in and my 6 plus is tweaked or twisted. It's not bent but looks like it was handled in the manner of wringing a towel out. Been in a Spigen slim armor which is a fairly stiff case for half that time and the other half with a Cellaris rubber/plastic dual layer case. Always taken out of pocket when sitting or driving. It's starting to get worse and I did not purchase AppleCare but instead went with the insurance from AT&T for the theft or lost option. Not sure if I want another plus or will go with a 6 this time around.

Your denial is impressive :)

Great News!

Apples rumored to be fixing bendgate, delivering a durable phone that's worth the money. I had a strong feeling they'd learn their lesson and go back to the drawing board.

"No More Bendgate"

Rob Enderle, principal analyst at Enderle Group, expects Apple to fix the iPhone's frame before releasing the next model.

"It's the 'S' cycle we're talking about," Enderle told Benzinga. "The biggest fix that the existing line needs right now is to move from the aluminum frame to a magnesium frame -- or something that's stiffer. The bending problem is serious with the phones and that needs to be addressed. You can't have the stiffest thing in the phone be the screen -- it's just going to cause too much breakage. That's probably the hardware side of this."

A totally useless link......
Don't sit on it: bendgate solved

The dust and screen pixel issues along with scratched and dented and sometimes bent phones have been around at least since iPhone 5 days, so none of those "mass production" type of issues gets resolved with the next model.

My beloved iPhone 6 Front Camera not centered anymore.
How did this happened Never been dropped or abuse in anyway at all.

All the factory workers are sleeping on the job because they are exhausted due to the high demand for production.

Things should improve QC wise when demand subsides.

Anyway, get it exchanged, it's a fault.

It must be a design fault as this problem is being reported a lot. I haven't looked at the iFixit teardown but how is this component affixed? Is it glued?

First off I'm long time ready of the forums, first time poster. Now for my problem. I got my 6 plus 2 weeks ago and I got the Otterbox Defender the same day. Anyways I got the phone home unboxed it and put it in the Otterbox. I have not removed the phone since today to just make sure there was no dust between the case and phone. As I removed the phone from the case I noticed two Knicks on the bottom of the phone. 1 by the speaker grille, the other on the left side near the corner. Kinda bummed me out when I saw them. Anyways this must be a manufacturing defect if the phone was immediately taken out of its box and put in the Otterbox. Does this sound like something Apple would replace under warranty or should I just forget about it and not even worry?

You know those otterbox cases are known for scratching phones, that why I don't used them anymore since they damaged my 6.
