Is Your iPhone 6 Defective In Any Way?

My 6 and 6+ both say no service every 20 min. The signal suddenly drops.
My house has always had weak AT&T coverage but I never experienced something like this with the 5S and Nexus 5

Drag for my new iPhone 6....

booted up, took over my Verizon phone number, and then went dead once connected to iTunes via the thunderbolt cable. (fun time getting my old phone reconnected to Verizon number on a busy launch day!). Tried every trick under the sun to no avail...

I ordered the phone thru Apple online, really don't want to deal with the Apple stores this weekend. Customer support told me to return the phone, and order another, which will arrive in 2-3 weeks. I may go back to the store on Monday if my work schedule allows, not terribly happy, but thats what happens when you buy on launch day. If it were later in the buying cycle, it would be easy to just exchange it.

I had the white pixel in the middle of my screen and after restoring it and using last night and today, it's gone. It just went away. Apple support just called me and I told them I was fine. Hope you guys get everything straightened out.

I'm waiting to go pick up iPhone 6 128gb number 3... Noticed dust under the screen on the first one at the AT&T store, they were sold out but lo and behold the FedEx truck pulls up with more stock at 8:28am! They offered to swap my phone at the AT&T store, dust under the second one! Called Apple, Senior Advisor approved me for $75 in Apple Store products for the inconvenience and called my local Apple Store and got me squeezed in to see a Genius Bar rep today instead of Monday to hopefully get a phone without defects.

Dang, looks like mine has an issue. It looks like a pixel is stuck on extra bright or something and noticeable when viewing white (it doesn't shine when it's displaying black). Here's a picture I took of it. Image

Tried hard reboots and no luck.

I may go with the call to apple route rather than braving the store again.

That is not a dead pixel dude. Hopefully Apple does not replace the phone.

Hope you get one working without defects.

I just got off the phone with AppleCare because my display has some sort of black spot/dust in the middle of it. A senior advisor helped me out and is sending me a replacement for a Verizon iPhone 6+ 64gb Space Gray.

It's more obvious in real life, non photo form. So you really think apple shouldn't replace my brand new $800 phone due to this obvious defect in the display?

After talking with apple support they mentioned it sounded like a foreign material in the display itself. It's the third photo on this support doc: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4044?viewlocale=en_US

I think this is absolutely something apple should get phones back for so they can refine their process and future versions don't have this issue.

Got my iPhone 6 on Friday and found something behind the camera lens. And now I just came back from the Apple Store with a new unit just to find a dead pixel
Yes, I checked the boot screen (perfect for searching dead pixels) and it wasn't there yet... So, Monday morning back to the Apple Store.

Wow, Try again
This time open up your iPhone inside the apple store they can swap out your phone straight away.

That's kind of hard to do when the problem is between one's ears.

Yeah, I'm not saying no one has an issue, but I find it hard to believe that Apple is shipping at a 20 percent defect rate, per this poll.

Perfect iPhone 6 here.

I feel I deserve a bit of luck, last year with the iPhone 5s I had two dead pixels right in the center of the screen, got another and that had a chip, got another and that had one dead pixel, got another and all was fine again!

it's like a bloody lottery game.
Took me 9 iPhone 5
iPhone 5s First one perfect out the box

When I turn on my iPhone 6 it seems to take a long time before the slide to unlock message comes on compared to my iPhone 5. The fingerprint entry works fine. Has anyone else noticed this?

SIM tray is not 100% flush with the body of my iPhone 6.

I have this too. I was going to check the iPhone 6 display models and see if it's just part if the design. Worst case scenario, Apple would only need to provide a SIM card tray designed to spec.

If you have Touch ID enabled, it is supposed to do this.

I have had 2 iPhone 6 64GB in Space Grey - both with dead pixels like this one - and both in the bottom right of the screen. VERY annoying. iPad Air and Mini Retina were just as bad. Every time there is a launch and this fiasco happens I vow I won't by a launch device again - and I always do.

Sigh.

Mine isn't flush either. Is this the way they all are? Not really a big deal I guess.
