And will this finally add the feature that I can copy --any-- mp3 file (read: a file that I have not bought from the iTunes store) from --my-- iPod to --any-- of --my-- computers? Something tells me that iTunes will remain the same pile of DRM dung as before.
I'm guessing that most people aren't even aware that they're capable of importing music at a higher quality than the default. The first thing I wondered was, I can import CDs as 256kbps AAC now, can't I? So in the context of this update, what do they mean by "import CDs as iTunes Plus" being a "new feature"? New name, same thing, no? If that is the case, how is this a new feature?
It already does that... I haven't buy anything from iTunes and have my iPod full of music.
Not that I'm aware of. Playlists isn't showing Party shuffle or whatever they name it. Might be introduced by connecting with iTunes 8.1, but frankly I doubt it.Does it have Party Shuffle (or "iTunes DJ") compatibility yet?? That'd be awesome
That's the other way around. You're talking about computer to iPod, he's talking about iPod to computer
Isn't that called YouTube?![]()

No, you are incorrect about this. iPhoto does keep all your photos in a single package. You can open the package in Finder and view it in its hierarchical folder structure by right-clicking on it and selecting view package contents from the context menu, but Finder will not display it as such under normal circumstances. You can drill down with Terminal like it's normal folders, so maybe it's just semantics and you are correct on that level, but the packaging method allows for indexing and cacheing that "normal" folders don't have beyond Spotlight.
No, they did not change it back...
Based on new screenshots scattered throughout the iTunes pages, the iTunes "Party Shuffle" feature has apparently been renamed "iTunes DJ".
No one commenting on the new visualizer? It's above speed improvements on Apple's page, so it's more important![]()

wilburpan said:I have a 245GB iTunes library. Mostly it is CDs ripped to Apple Losses. about 12,000 tracks. iTunes is not slow at all on my 24" iMac. The library lives on a 1TB Segate disk connected via FW800. I can scroll through the entire library about as fast as I can move the mouse. searches for a composer or band have zero lag time. hard to see how it could be faster.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have more tracks than this in an iTunes library? Personally, I'm just interested in music tracks.
Love the idea of 'no-thinking' TV watching. Sometimes, after a long day, that's exactly what you want. One or two clicks and relax with whatever sensible (or not) vid pops up!
Is it just me or is the Genius feature not all it's cracked up to be? I just don't find it all that useful. Maybe I'm missing the point somehow.![]()
You're right. Sorry.
Senuti anyone?![]()
