You know, I bet that generating fake shipping notices to interfere with the dispute/chargeback process and charging cards when they are not actually shipping anything is violating some part of their card agreements. We should all suggest this to our various card companies fraud departments.

I ordered on 7/9

Got the "we've shipped " email on the 20th.

No case as of yet (the 28th)!

Spoke to the US Postal Service. The parcel with the tracking number they provided has NEVER BEEN PLACED INTO THE USPS SYSTEM. In other words, Ivy Skin was trying to pacify everyone by making it sound like they had actually shipped but has not actually shipped.

The USPS CANNOT tell for sure if the package was put into the system or not. I have a family member who is an assistant postmaster in a large town in the Midwest and while I AGREE 100% IT WASN'T SHIPPED there is absolutely no way the USPS can say that with any certainty. There is no way to TRACK whether it has shipped or not. If it was not scanned in by the local office it won't show up until 12 hours AFTER it is delivered.

Unfortunately not necessarily the case. This is NOT TRACKING it's DELIVERY CONFIRMATION.

"USPS simply put the thing on a plane. Once it clears customs it goes to a domestic carrier. In this case it may well be Parcel Force being the international arm of Royal Mail"

therefore something should say on the tracking that it's changed hands at least.

SHEESH! For heavens sake. IT IS NOT TRACKING! UPS has TRACKING. FEDEX has TRACKING. This is NOT tracking. Not for 19cents. It "could" say that but that is not required of DELIVERY CONFIRMATION service.

This whole conversation is getting stupid. Dispute it with your CC or PayPal. IVYSKIN is lying that they shipped it. I agree. I filed a dispute with PayPal. Or wait for it. Your option. Picking nits over what should or shouldn't happen with a 19cent delivery confirmation tag is silly. It simply doesn't matter.

When they REALLY ship it out, you will probably see it got scanned in at the post office.

It's not on the plane. It hasn't even shipped yet. All they've done is PRINT the label. Don't blame USPS!

USPS sucks!!! Even on here people have said the company is slow, as well as Ivyskin I certainly won't be ordering from America ever again!!

Let's not lose focus guys, we've all been duped into believing that we were actually going to take delivery on goods promised. What's important is that we get our money back (or by some miracle, the product promised).

After waiting since 7/7, my CC claim is in; their "3-5 days" is up (and so is my patience). At this point it's not even about the money, it's about the principle of the thing. These guys are straight con-men and they should be run out of business.

Their actions have been suspect from the very beginning; I hope none of you is still under the illusion that they are actually going to ship anything...it isn't going to happen. Good luck to you guys.

I am curious. Maybe I missed it, but how do we know they were never shipped? They cannot be tracked or traced, and we are talking about the US Postal (snail mail) Service after all.

Just an observation...

I ship packages every day using USPS. If they had the packages a fair amount of them woulda been scanned in. The fact that NONE of anyones in this thread shows it has been accepted for delivery tells me the packages have not been picked up/dropped off for delivery.

That generic message you guys got is what every single one of my customers gets when I print a shipping a label.

ETA: And they can be traced. Heres a random package I sent. This is what it should look like and every step updates

track this number on usps to see what it normally looks like

It's a valid observation, but read through the thread carefully; the vast majority of us were told that our product "shipped" last week. As far as we can tell NOT ONE of us received anything (after a suspiciously lengthy process of having our orders stuck "in process"), and as Sophia indicated: NO ONE has any shipment information from USPS. In my experience, the vast majority of packages shipped domestically with delivery confirmation update with some sort of status notification within 24-48 hrs during some point in transit. To say that none of these packages can be traced until final delivery is highly unlikely.

Furthermore, in addition to the information Sophia provided, I can tell you that in my case, 7 complete USPS working days have passed since the date of my "shipment". I used to live in New Jersey, it does not take more than 3 days to get a package to the west coast. Couple this all with the fact that the general consensus here is that IvySkin customer service has been unhelpful and evasive, and you could only deduce that clearly something is awry.

I'm curious; when were you notified of "shipment"?

Correct. I live about 15-20 minutes from them and I'm now waiting 7 business days. Not a chance they shipped them. I will bet however they will be shipped in a day or so due to the "new orders will be shipping 7/28 message" on their website.

From the Ivyskin website:

From Peter at 7/14/10 2:19 PM
When will the case start shipping? I ordered mine last week and haven't heard back about shipping.

Starting Friday July 16th. You will receive the notification email along with the delivery confirmation and tracking details from the 16-20 of July.
