Just reported IVYSCAM - here is what I wrote:

I like many others ordered a case for the new iPhone4 from IVYSKIN. I placed my order on 7/9/10....was told that the item was to ship on 7/16. Received notice on 7/19 with delivery confirmation (USPS first class mail) that item has been shipped. As of today I have not received the item. I live 15 mile aways from the company and delivery should be 3-5 days max. It is now on day 10. The postal confirmation is fradulent as it has not updated in the same 10 days. I along with many others are facing the same problem with IVYSKIN. Hundreds of others are having the same exact problem...receiving delivery confirmation and NO PRODUCT. Attempts to call the corp office results in a ringing phone with a recording...no option to leave a voicemail. In addition, email corresponse has since stopped. Late last week they would send out cookie cutter email replies that did nothing to solve the problem. Effective this week those replies have stopped. They are definately a scam business and am surprised they received an A- from the BBB.
Thank you,
Dan

Alright guys,

What's the general consensus here?

1) It's a scam and we'll never get our cases?

or

2) Shady business practice by trying to dupe customers on actually shipping times but we should eventually receive our orders?

Now, I understand everyone is angry and so am I but I still like the design of the case and would love to give it a shot.

If people don't think we'll eventually receive them, i'll dispute it with my CC company.

So your happy to do buisness with a company who lies to it's customers?

I would go for the belkin case it is exactly the same as this one and you could have got it for free from Apple

Anyone have issues with the ivyskin smart case for the iPad? Ordered mine July 12, and ship out date was the 3rd week of July. Haven't gotten anything yet. Comments anyone?

Well done dan, I kept going off on one when I was writing mine

I too have been waiting for my order which was placed on the 14th. I was notified on the 19th that USPS received notification of the shipment. Today I called the USPS and confirmed that no shipment has yet been received by the USPS for this tracking number. Ivy Skin simply generated a label which lets the USPS know a shipment is on the way. So I called my credit card company and disputed the charge. In addition I emailed Ivy Skin to let them know of the disputed charge and also to let them know how I felt about their deceptive marketing scheme.

Well, let's do a quick review shall we?:

  • They lied about the cases being in stock when we placed our orders (mine placed 21 days ago).
  • They lied about processing my refund (they sent me a "shipping notification" well after processing my "cancellation")
  • They lied about shipping out my case (it's been over 9 USPS working days)
  • They won't return my emails
  • They won't answer the phone
  • I think we're all reasonably sure that the "reviews" on their site are completely forged

It's highly likely that in a few days we'll find out they lied about cases "shipping out on the 28th".

The hard reality is it's a total crapshoot. If you're willing to wait another month or more, the choice is yours (I wouldn't put it past them to keep ignoring emails and phone calls, sending out false shipping info, and keep on extending "ship" dates indefinitely).

But consider this: based on the way they "do business" there's no guarantee that these guys are even going to be around another month (it might make getting your money back a little more complicated then). If I were you I would cancel it now and wait until you see confirmation of people receiving cases (you'll know 2 things by then: that the product actually exists, and whether it's any good); then, and only then should you even consider giving them your money. Finally, it only takes a minute to place another order if you change your mind. Just my 2 cents.

report them to BBB

So us Brits 'across the pond' aren't that stupid after all are we!
Bloody knew that USPS tracking system should have been running far better than this

EVERYONE please, please report this company to BBB, I've submitted and so have a few others
.....it's your duty guys :)

NOT FOR INTERNATIONAL MAIL. ONLY FOR DOMESTIC MAIL! IT IS NOT TRACKING! In fact, I'll bet when/if they eventually send you that package you won't even find that DELIVERY CONFIRMATION label on it because it is not the proper form for international mail. They need a customs declarations form and label.

Even if you dispute it and get refunded by PayPal or your CC company you should STILL get the package IF they shipped it as they CLAIM they did. THEN decide if you want to pay for it or send it back. In fact, insist they send you a prepaid return label. However, if you NEVER get it you'll know for sure they are not only scammers but also thieves because that would mean they pulled your shipment that never existed.

When you send it back, send them a USPS "tracking number" as proof you returned it. :D

I got an email from them yesterday saying if I wanted my money back to ship the product back sealed and that I'd get a refund within 10 business days, so they got back to me pretty quick (within a day). Today I got a Google checkout refund for $21.98...I'm not sure if Ivyskin initiated that or if that was via my dispute with Amex.

Ok guys - this gets even more weird. I just got a refund notification from ivyskin and I didn't even ask for a refund. Something is up.

Think yourself lucky!! I wish they would give me a refund......isnt it a bit late thought? I thought they were closed now?

I wasn't the least bit worried about getting my money back. I paid with AMEX and they would refund me instantly if I asked. The fact that I got a refund without asking for one tells me that they probably realized that they're not going to be getting the shipment of cases they thought they were going to be getting. I'm pissed though because I really want my case and those ******s twice told me that if I had a tracking number that means the case shipped. Totally BS and I intend to call them about it to hear what they have to say for themselves.

I just got the same "Refund Confirmation". But at the bottom it says:
"Please note that you will receive another email from us that contains the tracking information for your order. Best Regards, ivyskin Online Team.":confused::confused:

I also checked my account online, nothing is "posted" or "in process". I'll see if anything posts tomorrow.
