I can't really believe that their shipment got damaged. And if it did, why the hell did they not tell their customers who have been been mindlessly waiting??? Either way, ivyscam consists of a bunch of lies.

Also it now says this on their website.

"Due to the unprecedented demand of the new Reception Case, new orders will ship on or before Aug 4th, 2010"

wow, they just keeping pushing the date further back.

If they were a reputtable company, they'd send out an e-mail to all their customers who ordered and let them know the situation and offer a refund if they want to cancel.

By doing this, they are killing their own business. Idiots...

If he thought you were "threatening" them he must have thought I was a terrorist after reading my emails.

I CAN easily believe some people around any board like this work for other vendors. It happens all the time. This is, after all, the internet. However the vast majority of people having the same issue proves that even if that were the case <haha> it would have nothing to do with it. Bottom line is they were never shipped. Simple as that.

They are simply a bunch of idiots.

You guys are going to love this. I actually called Ivyskin just now and got a human being on the phone! I immediately asked what was going on with my order and he looked it up. He told me that my order had been refunded because I requested a refund. I told him that I did no such thing so he looked it up and found an email I sent to them. In my email I mentioned the fact that my tracking information hadn't changed at all and I wanted to know why. I also asked why they had reviews on their site that were dated before the cases had even been shipped out. Finally, I told them that a lot of people were pissed about the situation and gave them a link to this very thread. I told them that the company's rep was taking quite a hit and that they might want to jump in and let people know what's going on.

Anyway, the guy told me that they interpreted my email as a threat and intimidation and refunded my money for that reason! He also told me that macrumors is shady and that there are a lot of people on here that work for Ivyskin's competitors who are spreading false information about Ivyskin. Of course I told him that they are the ones who are being shady by posting false reviews on their website. He tells me that those reviews are from people in the business. He said that they send out free cases to people ahead of time so that they can review them before the general public gets them. Sure. I then told him that it's also shady that they sent out tracking numbers when the packages haven't even been shipped. The guy then tells me that the cases were damaged in shipment and that they never went out! I asked him why Ivyskin support told me that if I have a tracking # that means the item actually shipped. He tells me the item did ship. Wait, what? It's just lie after lie with these guys. First they told me it shipped, then they told me it didn't ship because the cases were damaged, then he tells me it did ship.

I again ask him why I have a tracking # that shows no progress whatsoever. He tells me that I'm lucky I got a tracking # at all because people who are ordering now are not getting a tracking # right away. I say what good is a tracking # when it doesn't show any progress. I then ask him why the carrier is listed as FedEx Next Day Express and he tells me it's a system glitch. I ask him where the cases ship from. He tells me the West Coast or New York. I ask where mine shipped from. He says he doesn't know. At this point we're just going back and forth and the guy is clearly getting angry with me. He tells me that I'll have the case by tomorrow or August 2nd. Then he says July 31st or August 2nd. Which is it, tomorrow or July 31st? He says that he never said tomorrow. Argh! The guy is talking in circles and doesn't know what he's saying. He tells me that I'm getting a refund. I say I don't want a refund, I want my case. I never once mentioned the word refund or chargeback in my email. He says you'll have your case by July 31st or August 2nd. I ask him why I'm still getting the case if they refunded my money. He says that the case had already shipped, and once I get it I'll need to send it back to them. If I decide I want to keep it, I need to call them so that they can send me an invoice. If I don't call them, they're going to call me. Whatever.

He goes on and on about how much of a demand there is for these cases, yada, yada, yada. I don't know what to believe with these guys. It's clear that they're in way over their heads and they've screwed this up beyond belief. I urge you guys to keep calling until you get someone on the phone. It's actually comical to hear them try to explain this mess. If there was a damaged shipment don't you think they would have either posted that information on their website or emailed their customers to let them know what happened? Of course not - that makes too much sense. Instead they just lie about it and hope that people will keep quiet. I was willing to just sit back and wait for my case but I do not appreciate being lied to repeatedly.

:D Great job my friend!

I loved the part how the reviews are from people in the "business" BS and MacRumors is "shady".

Companies run like this shouldn't be in business.

You watch - next we will get a post in the forum saying how the company is under new management as they grapple to save their reputation.

LOL, thanks that was great. Yeah sure, "we're the shady ones", that's rich!

I was thinking the same exact thing about my email to them. I flat out told them that I wanted the case but that I wanted an honest answer as to when it would ship, even if it was a couple more weeks and not to send me the stock cut and paste email, which IMO, was full of lies. I also told them that if they did send me the stock email and not truthfull information that I would backcharge them with AMEX.

its pathetic that they think they can get away with continually delaying the shipping dates and insisting USPS does have them, USPS should file a complaint against them as they are making out USPS to be the incompetent business.

I reckon since the belkin micra is not due for release til 20/8/10 according to this retailer: http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/15846164/Belkin-iPhone-4-Shield-Micra-Case-Clear/Product.html if they ivyskin is indeed a copy of this, then perhaps the ivyskin case too will not be released until then. Btw i do not work for play.com nor belkin  before ivyskin decide to accuse otherwise

Finally a reply

Dear Ian,

We are sorry you did not receive your package as promptly as you expected. We experienced an unusually large number of orders, which disrupted our normal delivery schedule. To serve you better and faster, we are busy expanding our staff. A full refund will be posted to you account shortly.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience we might have caused and look forward to filling your future orders in timely manner.

Best Regards, Jessica

that was from the sales@ivyskin.com email address

I replied to them asking if they are admitting lying, then within minuates I got this reply

Hi Ian,
If you have received a tracking details, then the item was sent out already and you should receive it shortly. We will issue a refund regardless due to it being late.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best, Lisa

Can I assume you got the refund email as well then?

Strangely I have not heard a word back.

Here is the orignal email.

subjectIvyskin Reception case Order number 24***
mailed-bygmail.com

hide details Jul 27 (1 day ago)

Hello, I ordered an Ivyskin reception case, order number 24***. I recieved an email on July 18 letting me know it was shipping on July 20. I have checked the tracking info several times and as of today, it is still showing as shipping info received but the USPS has no record of the case being given to them. It has now been 7 days since that time with no movement. I have seen various postings that you guys claim it will now take 10 plus days to be delivered. Sorry, but I am not happy about that. I checked the USPS site and for flat rate packages, much less first class, they will ship from Alaska to my address in 3 days. The case is well overdue.

I would not like a canned email. I would like the truth on when the case will ship and be delivered. You guys seem to have perpetrated a fraud when Apple announced the free bumper/case program and you panicked. I was not going to cancel my order, as I decided to get a bumper from Apple to try that out, since I already had what seemed like a cool clear, thin case coming from you guys. That way I would have two options.

However, if I continue to be kept in the dark about this, I plan on disputing this with American Express. I also plan on letting their fraud department know that you appear to have printed shipping labels for cases that you did not have to prevent people from being able to cancel orders and started charging people early, which is probably a violation of your card agreement with them. So, simply, let me know when I can really expect the case (even if it is 2 weeks) and I am happy to stand pat and receive it. However, before you click copy and paste on your stock email, I will not be satisfied with anything other than a truthful, personalized response. Telling me that the USPS has it and it will be here by 7-31 is not truthful, so lets get that on the table.

I await your response,

Lee **********

Well acording to my last reply I'm getting both...see my last post ^^^^

but yea demand a refund

Based on that last response you received I wonder if that applies to everybody in our situations. If so, I guess I'll be keeping the case if they still actually send it regardless of the fact that I already filed a dispute with my credit card company.

If this thread was a conspiracy by Ivyskins competitors, don't people think it would be full of responses by ordinary customers who could confirm that they had in fact received their cases as expected.

I for one can confirm that I have NOT received my Ivyskin reception case.

I intend emailing Ivyskin to this effect, and I'll be interested to see what their response is. I ordered my case on the 19th July and it said in stock.

I seriously doubt we will though, still adamant that they already shipped

Well, since they allegedly shipped them out 10 days ago whether you get a refund or not you should still get the case. Unless of course they were lying about shipping them initially.

Something tells me though, you won't be getting it UNLESS they feel they have to ship them eventually regardless to show how "truthful" they were. By then it should be easy to tell when they were REALLY shipped. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Of course it is possible that everyone's cases shipped all over the country simply got lost or delayed in the mail. Yea, right.

After hitting the number one button over and over and over again I finally got through to a live human - two of them actually! They finally admitted to me that my case was shipped out about four days later then indicated due to a problem with the shipment being damaged. The guy was difficult to understand, but I think what he was saying was that some of the packages were damaged, and they all had to be checked to ensure the units were not damaged.

Who knows if this is the truth or just another ivy colored lie! He claims that I should be receiving my case by tomorrow or Monday at the latest, and if it does not come by Monday they will refund the shipping charges. I tried to make him understand that I was willing to wait if there was a problem, but that I would not stand being lied to. He sounded very paranoid!! I guess we will see if the case shows up by Monday. I am not holding my breath!

Sounds like the same guy I spoke with. He was spinning all sorts of tales.
