I don't doubt that they all come from the same place in China or wherever. But like you said my main concern would be whether that's an actual image of the case. If the actual case has the back cutout that off-center to compensate for the flash, it just seems ridiculous. Likewise all I really want is a clear case but if it looks bad I'm not going to throw money at it, even if it is just $5-6 dollars.

EDIT: I'm no longer waiting for this case, I took it up with my credit card company and already got the charge reversed. What I ended up doing was just ordering another cheap case that I might have by Saturday and it will serve the overriding goal of just protecting the phone until the custom one I ordered arrives.

I'm not fussy. So the cutout doesn't bother me if it off-center, upside down, vertical or whatever or if the case has a scratch or a rough edge. No one but me will look at it and if anyone else does they won't care about the centering of my flash. I just want to be able to see the Gelaskin back with a photo of my Grandkids through it. It makes me smile. I'm really not that "involved" with the phone other than to play solitaire and listen to a few podcasts. :) That's why I was so annoyed with this IvySCAM fiasco. I just wanted the damned case! I am only a few miles from them so I figured I'd have it in a day or two. I got my refund yesterday from PayPal.

They should have a shipping option called turtle or slug and say it arrives in 2-3 months or whenever it gets there. oh and their phone number should be 1-800-22liars.

Did anybody post these to tv news people like help me Howard. I think it's time they need some media attention. i already wrote a letter to the website www.engadget.com which referred me to the company, to do research on to see what they come up with(real company or scam). we're tired of being ignored, we work to hard to get Bernard Madoffed like this, it's time they get a daily dose of their own medicine. The best media is web and TV so everybody keep spreading the word.

Ivyscam- come clean!

Ivyscam will not return any of my emails...no surprise here! However, I did try one more time and sent them an email to come clean. Here is what I sent:
**It is common knowledge that you HAVE NOT sent out the reception case for the iphone4. Check out Mac forums under "inyskin shipping confirmation". *It is also common knowledge that the shipping information is bogus...not real! Many customers are experiencing the same problem with your company. *I along with many others have reported you to the better business bureau! Your A- rating will be a thing of the past. *In addition many of us are contacting both paypal and our credit card companies for refunds.

Now if you are having supply chain problems and there is a delay in shipment, please JUST LET US KNOW on your website or via email. *The bogus reviews are a joke and everyone knows they are not real. *So do the right thing and come clean! **If not you will always be known as IVYSCAM!!!!

thank you,

Dan

Don't you think your overblowing this a bit? Bernard Madoffed? I'm as angry as the next guy but still, it's only a $15.00 plastic case. They are a real company and have been selling cases for years. They just royally screwed up on this one. Had they simply handed it properly this never would have happened. Simply dispute the charge and get a refund from your Credit Card company or PayPal.

There were two main reasons why I ordered this case....

#1 -- it allegedly helps out with the reception issues.

#2 -- it allegedly will still fit in the iPhone 4 dock, with the case on.

I already have the Apple Bumper, which works great with the reception issues. But I can't use the iPhone 4 dock with the bumper attached.

As it now appears that this was a complete and total scam and the Ivyskin doesn't actually exist -- has anyone received any of the substantially similar models from other manufacturers?

Ivyskin do excist, they have just cocked this up big time

Anyone else get the feeling that even if we do receive our cases after this whole fiasco, we're probably going to be disappointed with them anyway?

Haha Great stuff :D

But does a BBB rating help a company much anyway

EnGadget Rocks!

Just sent an email to engadet regarding IvyScam and the got back to me in under 5 min. THEY HAVE UPDATED THEIR ORIGINAL STORY ON IvySkin reception case with this little note:

Update: We're seeing reports that Ivyskin is charging but not shipping its case. Buyer beware.

Nice job Engadget!!

Clearly we've made a difference and sent a clear message that this bozos can't get away with treating customers like this. With all the charge backs I wouldn't be surprised if their merchant account vendor stopped by to rip their credit card machine from the wall.:D

We did the right thing by rallying the tech community and bringing these idiots to light on this platform. That said I would be careful handing this story off to the general media. The story could get misconstrued and you could be opening yourself up to a libel/defamation suit.

That's perfect. That very Engadget story was what led me down this primrose path to Ivyscam hell. This should give pause to a lot of potential victims.

But does a BBB rating help a company much anyway

BBB helps only to a certain extent:

"BBBs have been accused of unduly protecting companies. The BBB responds by, at a minimum, notating complaints on the "Reliability Report" section of its web sites. If a branch does not act reasonably on behalf of a consumer, a complaint may be filed with the Federal Trade Commission"

If you want to take it one step further, I encourage EVERYONE to file a complaint on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) website against Ivyskin.

Good but it needs adding about them lying about shipping

You guys are starting to sound lilke a mob with torches and pitch forks. ;)

They did not handle this well and should come out and do some serious damage control.

Last Laugh!

I wanted to make sure to keep IvyScam up to date, cuz we all know they do not have a clue what is going on. I sent them this email (doubt I will get a response):

Your once A- BBB rating is now gone! You have no rating!!! LOL....You should be ashamed of yourselves...stealing money from honest hard working people. WE (the consumers) ARE ALL HAVING THE LAST LAUGH!
