Well I thought I'd chime in here with an update. Believe it or not I ordered another one of these things yesterday before I realized they had pulled a switcheroo on the type of case they are sending out. I actually received it today (yes, next day but I'm in NJ too) and I hate it. The watermarking is terrible, it creaks when you hold it, it picks up all sorts of fingerprints and grease and it even looks like it's fogging up on the inside. It's going right back. I think these clear plastic cases are all terrible.

Ivyskin Reception Case - shipping confirmation?

Finally! There's movement on my tracking info. It says:
*Electronic Shipping info Received, July 19, 2010!
*Processed through Sort Facility, August 2, 2010! Kearny, NJ
They're suppose to deliver by August 3 today or else, per their email to me, they will have to refund my shipping charges. Do you think it will be delivered today? I lived at San Diego, CA so I doubt it and if that's the case, they better refund my shipping charge but if the case turns out to be bad, then I might have to return it anyway. I'll keep you guys posted.
My tracking information is the same. I figure it will be here tomorrow or Thursday, considering NJ isn't terribly far from WV. We shall see.
Don't get too excited. You'll probably end up hating it and sending it back anyway. I'll never order a clear, plastic case again. Live and learn. It also made me change my free case from Apple to the Speck Pixelskin HD (I had originally ordered the Incase Snap Clear then changed it to the Belkin Shield Micra Clear). These clear cases just aren't for me.

I read it - I've posted in it several times. I just really wanted to try the case and they did get it to me quickly the 2nd time I ordered it (they cancelled my first order and refunded me). Now I have it and hate it so it's going right back. No big deal for me to return it. Already got my rma # from them.
Except you paid $6 for shipping to you which won't get refunded and you will pay for shipping back (probably $2.50) and MAKE SURE you get tracking or they'll claim they never received it. PLUS their website says they charge a 15% restocking fee!
Probably better off just keeping because in the end your refund will only be 1/2 what you paid in total after shipping costs both ways.
You're right but I'll take whatever refund I can get. There's no way I'll ever use this case so no sense in keeping it.
I still have the package sitting unopened on my desk and I think I have a better alternative in the cheap ebay case that arrived today (not a clear back but still seems better than what I've heard and seen of the IvySkin). The fact that they also don't return emails at all now is really irksome.

I finally gave in and opened the package last night. And honestly I never thought I'd say this but it's not a terrible case. This doesn't in any way make their horrid customer service, shipping, product changing, etc acceptable. But for the fact that this ended up being a free case (for me), I think there could be a lot worse and I wasn't expecting a whole heck of a lot.
The sides are lower than the front glass and while that isn't ideal, I feel that I'm careful enough that it won't be an issue. If you have back protectors on your phone, it will most likely watermark pretty bad on the back (it did with my Zagg IS). The protector that comes with the case seems to minimize that effect significantly. And while I haven't done extensive testing, it seems like even this altered camera/flash cutout doesn't impede picture-taking with flash.
All that said, I'll never do business with them again but for all that aggravation I at least got something that's temporarily usable.

I received mine yesterday and I agree: the case is not that bad. It does indeed "creak" a bit if you hold and press tightly but I rarely do when I hold my phone. In addition, it truly is a fingerprint magnet. I knew when I purchased it that it would not have a lay on the table design so that's that. Regardless, even though the case is not that bad, I think we all learned a valuable lesson regarding Ivyskin.

Yes I put in a claim with my credit card company a couple of weeks ago, got the refund at the end of the month and the case showed up at my house on Monday.
Depending on the credit card company, if it is a small amount, they may not even deal with the seller they just give you a credit as a customer service. I know my AMEX does that because a similar thing happened to me with another small item a few months ago. They issued me an immediate credit and never even reversed it to the vendor.
As is required by Federal law, it is also possible they only issued a credit pending the outcome of the dispute. They are required to issue an immediate credit to your account on ANY dispute and then when it is settled with the vendor (one way or another) they either charge you back or leave the credit. This could take 30-90 days or more depending on the situation. You would be notified of a final outcome from your credit card provider. AMEX is the absolute best and easiest to deal with.
That was a pretty positive review, actually. His only real complaint is that the case "creaks".
Would still like to know if the iPhone will fit into the iPhone 4 dock with the case on.
