jailbreak for 3.1.3(new bootrom)

i feel very insulted by this, accusing me of someone im even not, i gave out info based on my experience and ive seen someone brick their iphone 3g because they tried to activate it without a sim card, excuse me for living if i tried to help someone out, even apologized after seems wrong?

thanks its just that out of all the forums ive been in, like gaming forums and computer forums and graphics forums this one burns me in less than 20 posts! lol really i guess they dont :p i wouldnt be in this forum if i didnt get a 3g

Don't take it personally...it's just that there was another guy (with a writing style similar to yours) who spent a number of months on these boards alternating between giving terrible advice and asking questions that showed how poorly he understood the concepts he was advising on, and people's tempers ran short after he refused to learn anything. It's nothing you did, really, but more the stoking of some bad memories ;)
 
Hello everyone what is this crapstore. i was thinking to play some games on my iphone 3gs meanwhile its jailbreak and unlock comes.hopefully dhlizard wont be annoyed by this post bec its not related to any jailbreak or unlock:)

What pisses me off the most about this whole 3.1.3 firmware update is that other than the battery drain fix (which my phone didn't even suffer from) it seems like it had no other reason than to prevent jailbreaking.

Obviously we all know that the iPhone is capable of way more than Apple and AT&T is allowing us to do, which quite honestly is the reason why many people want to jailbreak their iPhones. If Apple was smart, instead of spending all this time trying to prevent people from jailbreaking their iPhones, they should instead embrace certain features you get from a jailbreak and make it available in an official update.

If.....

1) they would make an update that would give you an app like Winterboard so you can customize your springboards, themes, icons, dialers, video backgrounds etc...for free,

2) allow you to download any 3rd party app that isn't currently available through iTunes, ( I had some decent apps that I couldn't even find on iTunes)

3) make it possible to have free trial periods for payed apps (maybe like a 3 day trial period) through iTunes so you don't have to pay for an app just to find out that it sucks and you wasted your money,

they might be able to reduce how many people would even want to jailbreak their iPhones. Not everyone wants to jailbreak their phones just to get payed apps for free or to unlock their iPhone to use with a different provider.

I LOVED my iPhone when it was jailbroken, but I too accidentally upgraded to the 3.1.3 firmware and now my iPhone is just plain boring!! (When I was going to sync my iPhone, it asked me if I wanted to upgrade iTunes and that's what I thought it was doing until it was too late to stop it) When an iPhone is jailbroken, it's kinda like finding out that if you reprogram an eprom on a Lamborghini you can not only still be able to go 205 mph, but you can do it while getting 250 mpg but now it's like buying a Prius and only getting 4 mpg...it sucks!!

Yea, if they allow for a bit more customization, the iphone would become that much cooler.
 
Hi every one i was playing ferrari evolution gt on my 3gs today suddenly the iphone hung in the race when i pressed the home button it did'nt return to home and i also tried to switch it off it did'nt switch off i am stuck fw=3.1.3 bb=5.12.01 i have tried to connect it to itunes but nothings happens help needed

I'd recommend jailbreaking your baseband with the untethered version of the 24kpwn unlocking file. I know it's worked for everyone else who had a 3gs that did'nt return to home.

Press and hold the home and sleep/power buttons until the phone turns off (about 10 seconds -- ignore the 'slide to power off' screen). Wait 10 seconds and power your phone back on.

And, in the future, please start a new thread if you have a new topic.

it is stuck at the game screen dont know what happened and now it is not going away phone is not even syncing with itunes

I don't think you can have done the hard reset I recommended correctly. Barring hardware failure, I don't think anything can prevent a hard reset. Try again and just hold it until it shuts off.

Press and hold both of the buttons circled in green in the image below until the phone turns off. Just keep holding the buttons down. Eventually it should reset.

If it it fails to reset in 60 seconds, then your phone is probably suffering from hardware failure. You will have to get it repaired.

ETA: The only other thing I can think to try is to put it in recovery mode by holding down the home button while you plug it into your computer. If you can get into recovery mode, then you should be able to restore.

Guys, everyone, i dnt knw when they gonna actually publish a jailbreak for the iphone 3gs with new bootrom,.
but i have some great news, i just downgraded my iphone 3gs 3.1.3 new bootrom to 3.1.2, i dnt knw if u gonna believe me or not, i will post the videos i followed, just follow them, i cant guarantee that its gonna work for everyone, but it definitely works.

yes dude, i have the same config, just try the videos i have given in the post, and do exactly the same way its shown, you will be able to get through,
just give it a try, it worked for me......never mind, if it doesnt work u can update it later.....:)
