Hyperbole. Hearing it from an iPhone 4 owner is one thing; hearing it from someone who doesn't even have experience with the device is another. This whole iOS vs. Android thing is starting to remind me of the PS3 vs. XBox squabble that has been carried out across the internet for years.

Now that the PS3 has won, we need to move on to something... why not iOS vs. Android :p

I'm a bit puzzled by the complaining. Even if you could download the HD video at full resolution, aren't sites like youtube going to compress it anyway? Are there sites that host full resolution HD video - where specifically do people intend to post their HD without making it smaller?

And for that matter, who exactly do you think is going to want to take the time and bandwidth to watch something you shot with your phone at the original quality?

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like the vast majority of users would *want* video uploads to be at a more manageable size.

Nice to know.. Should definitely be possible on wifi.

Though the number of hateful Android owners/fans is pretty scary round these parts. I think everyone who's calling iphone4 a duff phone should at least have tried it themselves first.

Can't wait for this feature to catch up with something that's been on the Zune for a while.

God, I never thought I'd be saying that...

Yes, but many of them do a decent job. Vimeo looks pretty nice.

Pretty much any file host. I wonder if Apple would allow a way to access the video and photo directories so you can back up remotely.

And for that matter, who exactly do you think is going to want to take the time and bandwidth to watch something you shot with your phone at the original quality?

how big are the files that the iPhone records?

MobileMe video upload

Is it possible to upload the HD video via MobileMe over the air? I was tempted to sign up to have this capability.

Let's see... do I believe a newspaper or my own experience with tons of dropped calls? Hmmmm. Tough one.

And I'm holding the phone correctly.

For sake of argument, this is the same reasoning creationists use. No, they really did see an invisible man in the sky tell them that he poofed millions of species into existence. Nevermind any scientific inquiry.

Do I have signal issues? Yes. But I haven't conjectured as to the cause or the fix.

AHEM... Entering RANT zone.....

OK... this isn't really entirely a comment on the article but I went through the horror of registration just now (what is up with sites being a pain to register lately?) to say the following:

With the recent rumors.... should this site perhaps change the name to iPhoneRumors? iRumors maybe? :D

I love the iPhone and all but GOSH! It's been constant iPhone this and iPhone that for the past while. It's a stupid cell phone people! (Granted it's a lovely cell phone but a cell phone still....)

Leaving RANT zone....

Well, there. I feel better now. :D

*moves on* ;)

Everybody gets one rant.

Have you been living under a rock? The current iPhone is the best phone available today.

All these negative comments floating around makes it sound like a clunky Microsoft/Android device. The issues are actually pretty minor compared to how serious everyone else is trying to hype it up to be.

But... those "clunky" Android devices (like HTC EVO) do can upload HD Video over the air (as long as the file size does not exceed 1GB). They do video chat over the air too. And they do not require an extra case to operate.

The answer is NO. The phone does not allow to transfer HD video over the air period.

Pixelpipe, which is free, was updated to allow 720p uploading to FB, YouTube, etc up to 200mb files from your camera roll. I just downloaded the update today. So for those that are looking for it you don't have to wait for Apple you can do it now.

And wireless syncing, Steve? Whoops, that's Zune HD (yes, I'm aware Zune HD isn't as good, but at least they're doing stuff Apple hasn't yet done and once Steve stops being a bitter, petty, vindictive "get off my lawn, you kids!" greedy old man and gives the go ahead, fanboys will ooh and ahh over like it's revolutionary even though it's been around forever... you know, like multitasking, changeable wallpapers and a LED flash for the camera).

Talk to me in 2019 when the "temperature" app STOPS reading "73 degrees and sunny" (static) and becomes a widget. Man, if you could just topple this clown (oust Jobs), Apple could catch up to where it severely lags and use the areas it excels in (which is a lot of areas!), they could be the leading innovator!

Pfft, no HDMI out.

Pixelpipe being PULLED from App Store??

According to appshopper this has been pulled from the Appstore, although I was still able to download it now. I haven't tested it yet, but you might want to get it NOW if it is going to be pulled!! It is free...

It was pulled a few days ago because of layout issues, and the developers pulled it themselves. It's back today with a fixed version. I think appshopper hasn't picked up the update just yet.

I honestly can't believe how terrible Apple iPhone fans have become. Maybe its because I don't worry about cupping my phone every time I pull it out so I can see IF the bars drop. I just use it, and use it A LOT. The iPhone 4 is, without a doubt, the best phone of the market. Yes I said PHONE. It makes calls WONDERFULLY.

I have yet to drop a call. I'm sure there are tons of obsessive compulsive people on here that are looking at there phones as the cup the bottom while they scream at their computers saying i'm a liar. But the fact remains that i'm not. I'm getting sick and tired of the comments about how the iPhone can't make calls. Have any of you whining and complaining looked up any iphone 4 reviews? Oh you did huh? Did you see that pretty much every single one names iphone 4 as the best phone on the market? You must have missed that.

HERES THE BOTTOM LINE:

Having issues? Buy a case.

Don't want to buy a case because Apple is "uber sucky because their phone should be naked because you love it so much but you hate it too?" - THEN TAKE IT BACK!

QUIT WASTING YOUR LIFE WHINING ABOUT A PHONE.

Do you really love Apple that much?

+1
Who really uploads raw, unedited, uncompressed HD videos anyways? I would think the vast majority of people wanting to share HD-quality videos would do some type of editing on a Mac/PC before sharing online.
