Give me a black as the iPhone 4/4S was ... A real classic deep black. Adding some "Product Red" would do it, too.

Yellow ? Serious ? Not looking good in my eyes (like a yellow Ferrari)

Black gloss with product red Matte highlights would of been sick. This just looks unwell.

I don't see why people are complaining. Would you have been happier if Apple had actually reserved a better color scheme for this custom iPad, instead of making it accessible to consumers?

Assuming Apple is serious about the "exclusive" bit, this means we will never see an iPad of this colour being sold to the public, and that's actually a good thing!

Now that is a color combination that is unique!

Wonder why? Nobody would ever buy it, it's save to say: it will stay unique.
At least it's for charity and some rich person will probably end up buying it, because his ego says: i need to be unique.

It's been done by Jony's team, not the man himself.

Apple is in a bit of a pickle at the moment precisely because the wee big man is off fitting cabinets in Apple stores and designing labels for toilet doors at the new campus.

Symptomatic of Tim's awful people management.

Anyway, I don't mind the colour scheme on this iPad - it has a certain Paddington Bear charm about it.

Damn I think I heard a loud creaking noise!! YES, it's the sound of Steve's coffin opening...he's rolling in his grave trying to get out so he can tell Jony himself: "you're coloring it wrong!"

Anything 'unique'' Apple users want.. aweful color.... i'm glad it's for charity..

"The iPad Pro has an estimated value of GBP10,000 - 15,000, the amount it is expected to fetch at auction"

ok... Those people will buy virtually anything u can put a price tag too. 27582.07 AUS or 21303.00 U.S

(edits: no, i didn't use my brain, I'm not *that* smart)

Anyone remember the TV program (may have been UK only), where the guy wanted to see if people really would buy absolutely anything on eBay? It was to see if there was "money for old rope". He scoured beaches and collected old rope and then put it on eBay. Every piece sold.

Jony: "Hey Tim - remember when we were playing with ideas for color iPad Pros? I still have this ugly colored one that's just sitting here. I can etch 1 of 1 on the back and get us some good press by donating for an auction"
Tim: "Go for it. I hate coming into your workshop and seeing that eyesore"

So many people opinionated about a colored iPad, trying to be witty.

While I haven't been a big fan of Ive's latest design, in this instance he, like one poster mentioned and you all chose to ignore, you can see here, why the color suits this iPad for this particular auction.

Their website looks as bad as the iPad. No one is saying the color of the iPad was a poor choice given the color choices of the museum. They're saying it's an ugly color. What's wrong with that?

I completely agree.

Someone will pay lots of money who likes it. There only needs to be one.

Like many people have said, I don't particularly find it appealing either, but that is a good thing for a unique customised piece I'll never even have the chance to own, let alone want to! I hope it raises lots of money for the museum.
