I'll say this about 7: when I was running 3-6, ZIPPO problems.
Literally none. Now? Now with 7, I get crashes every day.
Yes, I have the lastest .n version. And I have an Air!
I'm talking crashes with NOTHING else running in the background,
crashes with simple apps like "Photos" & "Safari", again, WITH NOTHING ELSE RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND.
iOS 7 stinks.

Jony Ive's pinnacle was the late 2008 MacBook Pro. Since then it has been steadily down hill. It is time for new blood, maybe even blood that smiles!

My only problem with Ive is he seems to be a one tricky pony.

He's great at the one thing, but he's not got much of a range.

The only thing that's a one trick pony are a lot of the comments on this site.

I have an Air running the latest software and have no crashes. Maybe you need to get your iPad replaced?

Seriously this site should be renamed MacHaters.com since majority of comments these days are negative and anti-Apple.

I like Ive. I get the impression that whenever he's interviewed he's gritting his teeth, doing his PR duty, wanting to get back to work. That's not a criticism. A compliment.

So, we have done the Iron and Bronze age...

Currently we are in the aluminium age...

Now we are going in the Graphite and Sapphire age?

Just like Pokemon, silver, sapphire... next is emerald, diamond and... wait we already had platinum with the first Macbook Pro?... i think I know where Ivy gets the inspiration from.

"titles are unimportant at Apple"
So Jony can go anywhere at Apple and tell anyone to do anything he wants. How cool. And now Dr. Dre without title at all.

For the past 10 months or so Apple has been working full-throttle to clean up Ive's trendy mess, and fortunately they are certainly going in the right direction.

Since 95% really liked iOS 7, you must be in the Very Small 5%...

Just a wild guess, but I think that something huge is on the horizon and these interviews are just meant to fan the flames a little. NY Times probably will get an exclusive look at some of the products in exchange for some positive coverage.

Hopefully it's materials like sapphire crystal and magnesium. I don't need any leather in my gadgets.

When he realizes the current design is hideous but with an ego that big... never.

I really did get a vibe of hubris at the yosemite event. Apple has had a great run with the unibody aluminum laptops, and the ipad is impressive, but mostly i am sensing apple is played out. perhaps---in a larger sense--personal electronics is played out. ios7 is a sort of pixel souffle, and osx is somthing of a mix and match toss off. even if the form factors stagnate a bit--shouldnt the software be cool? its not

When you find that positive coverage let us know.

Does anyone know when he's going to actually learn how to design a UI?
Oh, he knows how to design one. It's the QA part that he doesn't understand yet. I can't remember the last time I've used such an inconsistent and buggy UI in an Apple product.

He needs hair.

This one is better:
