not helping and standing in the way are two totally different things.
I'm American, and though I, or you, may not be lazy, Americans are indeed lazy and sue-happy. It's the coddled social engineering of entitlement, hand-holding and superiority complexes that plague our once great land.Lol, ok, but note that I'm American. We're not lazy, though def not sue happy.
Haha, how is Apple standing in anyone's way? What I find so amusing about many people here is they claim to be so "tech savvy" yet, they can't even do a simple task and manage their iMessages before they switch over to an Apple competitor. Always expect their hand to be held but on the flip side pretend to know more about computers and business than Apple does. Go figure.
As someone actually affected by this - when I went from my iPhone 5 to a Samsung Note 3, I noticed that all of my family and most of my friends (iPhone users) would receive my text messages but I would never get theirs, ever. Yes, I turned off iMessage on my iPhone, I de-registered my account via iCloud settings - waited 48 hours. Did that help? No. Two weeks later, I was still having problems getting text messages from family/friends/iPhone users UNLESS they turned on the (off by default) send as SMS if iMessage fails. But, I realized any iPhone user that I hadn't told to do this yet wouldn't be able to text me.
So I changed my phone number. Solved that problem. Yeah, it was a bit inconvenient but to be honest, I wanted a different area code so it didn't bother me too much.
After my Note 3 I went back to Apple with the 6+. When Apple finally acknowledged the problem - I helped at least two people I know that went Android from iOS solve the problem with that website Apple put out (lucky them!).
One of them went back to Apple like I did too.
It didn't cost me anything to change my phone number with Verizon Wireless. Sure, it was a little inconvenient but I'm not sure how you could sue. Was it right? Meh, iMessage is pretty cool and no product is 100% perfect.
The Lower courts have said that Apple conspired to fix prices. But the story isn't over. Apple has appealed to the Supreme Court and their case has been accepted to be heard by the court. We'll see how it turns out. Stay tuned.
I'm sorry, but you can't say a nation that ranks low in everything (life expectancy, intellect, average income, etc) isn't lazy.
are you dismissing because of the number of plaintiffs because your wording makes it seem as its their fault and not a problem/bug with imessage

I think it's been established that this a problem resolved by turning off iMessages...so, yes.
maybe kildraik is referring to NYMaybe you're speaking for Texas, brosef.
maybe kildraik is referring to NY
Let's just recognize that the court dismissed this silly suit so they obviously don't share the same opinion as you or some others here do about "Standing in someone's way". Here's the comedy sketch; "Apple how dare you try and stop me from leaving you (which stops me from spending money with you) and buying your main competitor's product and feeding them".so you acknowledge the difference between standing in the way and not helping?
you are standing in the way when peoples messages dont reach their destination. seems fairly obvious.
you said texas first so i simply replied that most likely it is NY. Im from texas and your from NY. Do you want to compare cars, house size, net income, credit score now? or you want to just stop talking **** about people you dont know.Or maybe he's referring to wherever you're from. One can never tell.
Except, they shouldn't have to "handle" it...they can't even do a simple task and manage their iMessages before they switch over to an Apple competitor.
hmm did you read why it was dismissed? dont think you did because you would see that 2 of the plaintiffs no longer have the apple device and the 3rd one wanted to be removed from suit.. so they didnt continue because of that not because he didnt agreeLet's just recognize that the court dismissed this silly suit so they obviously don't share the same opinion as you or some others here do about "Standing in someone's way". Ha! So for the two years before Apple issued a "fix", that single set of footprints in the sand belonged to Apple.Haha, how is Apple standing in anyone's way? i will agree to that lol.. happy holidays! No hard feelings towards kildraik, you or Texas. Love Texas. Just didn't appreciate his "all Americans are idiots" generalization. Hug?
Sadly, he is the type who believes he is above everyone else.I'm not sure why posters like you continue to call people dumb when they have specifically followed the instructions.
Out of curiosity...for those that think Apple paid off Judge Koh to make this case go away, what do you view as an equitable solution? Do you feel Apple should've paid these three people millions of dollars because they had difficulty receiving some texts on their new phone?
Im not sure you understand the issue. The problem that this case was about, was previous Iphone owners who switched to android, kept their same phone number, and their phones were still "signed into" imessage and so they would not receive them. The issue you describe in your post is not one that was addressed in this case and if that is happening to you, you should probably talk to your carrier.
the disregard for peoples time and money is amazing.
Of course you do.To me, in my humble opinion, this is an example of greedy people in conjunction with greedy attorneys attempting to make a buck out of an annoying situation because they know who their target is.
