Yes, but they would need to put in an older processor to make the pricing strategy make sense for that model. Otherwise, you cannibalize sales of the larger (and more profitable) models. That’s almost certainly the reason for the old display / housing on the current SE since a full screen device at that price point with the current processor would move a lot of people into that slot.Eyeballing the chart, looks like the 2020 SE, 2022 SE, 12 Mini, and 13 Mini combine for around 12%, so there def is a market for a smaller and budget device that is actually modern. But Apple hasn’t really made that yet, so maybe Apple should just consolidate those devices? A full screen device in the body of the SE with Touch ID in the power button selling for $400 would probably do quite well.
Yes, there’s a smart ‘5G Auto’ option in Settings>Cellular Data>Data> to optimize connecting to 5G when needed, otherwise your iPhone will be on LTE/4G to save batteryCan the 5g be off to save battery?
For the first month or two I thought the battery wasn’t very good on my 13 mini but lately I can get two days out of it. It often would get very warm when browsing but it doesn’t do that any more.I'm currently using a 13 mini and it is great. It is almost unnoticeable in my pocket and the screen size is not limiting at all. It's a shame it didn't catch on.
Battery is pretty bad though. Light usage will barely get you through the day.
You realize that mini's are incentivized too, right? and still demand is low.Or maybe I am misreading it. They have to make other models free to get people to buy them.
Highly recommended, I went from a 256 iPhone 8 to a 512 13mini and the difference is something to behold, stellar upgrade in every wayThis is really good to hear considering I'm still rocking an 8 and have my eyes set on a 13 Mini. Still bummed there's no TouchID but you can't have it all.
You realize that wasn’t my point, right? You realize that mini's are incentivized too, right? and still demand is low.
So people actually wanted cheaper phones, not smaller phones.

If you remove the “deterrent” of the larger / more modern screen and design, then you need to either increase pricing (which is where current mini models that are struggling sit) or sacrifice something else to maintain lower cost and differentiation (which is where using a 1 to 2 gen old chip could come into play since the only other current differentiating features are the cameras and Touch ID, which many people admittedly prefer over Face ID).
3% is a value that holds no barring writhing a total. How is it so many people fail at basic math here?!3% is less. The upcoming non Pro 6.7" version that is supposed to replace the mini should sell well. Many will be wanting a bigger screen at a lower price point.
Lol.People don't buy smaller chicken sandwiches that are priced 10% less than the normal ones, either. I like that apple does a good job at reducing the hardware fragmentation gap, but this better seen on the much loved iPhone SE 2 when the price wasn't stupid and the parts were pretty good. Plenty of people hate big phones but value is value.
The current and latest SE 3 is another selling sell, production is reduced in just 6 WatchOS of launch! Not even the iPhone 5C or 12 mini suffered that demise! The screen is bigger than the SEs screens. And those sold better. It’s not the size, it’s the price.
I have largish palms, and the 13 Mini fits nicely in my hand. No problem with one-handed use.the 4.7" screen is actually more suited to one handed usage than the 5.4" Mini.
It all comes down to this: people are using their phones more and and more as their primary Internet access device. That's not going to work with a phone the size of the iPhone 12/13 mini.

Well said!Reason I bought 12 Mini because it fits better in my pants or jacket without the heavy weight. I rarely use my phone for visual entertainment outside home. At work, I just stream music, CarPlay, Text, Phone calls and research uplook up info. No YouTube/No movies none of that.
I have a 4K $5000 projector at home for movies and tv shows, PC Desktop and PCVR Quest 2 for entertainments. Why strain my eyes into a phone lol.
Why carry such a big ass phone for my personal needs. Just saying.
The 5c is a different story, entirely. The 12 Mini already sold to the market the 13 Mini was supposed to. I said since launch of the 12 Mini that it was bound to flop, the 13 Mini is what the 12 was supposed to be.3% is a value that holds no barring writhing a total. How is it so many people fail at basic math here?!
The regular iPhone at 6.7” “may sell decently but at What price??! That is the billion dollar question, and even being produced in a India is NOT. going to save you money. Think about it. A regular iPhone at that size … and people think the iPhone 12/13 mini was too expensive lol just wait for a 6.7” regular iPhone.
Lol.
If you’re buying from McDonalds, yeah that chicken burger is not even worth the suffering of your health! Elsewhere it’s a LOT better and much taster! Guess your tastebuds hasn’t tried anything but McDowells

Your point was that people aren't buying Mini's because the other phones are being incentivized... but you either failed to mention or possibly realize that Mini's are being incentivized as well. The reality of the situation is that there isn't nearly the demand for a full featured small phone that comes with the penalty of being a full featured (price) small phone (reduced battery capacity) as the very vocal promoters made it out to be. Apple made a mistake... now it's course correcting. You realize that wasn’t my point, right?
