So excited to replace my 2016 iPhone SE with this! I've been holding out for a long time and never liked the rounded iPhone design era.

If the display and battery life is decent this will most likely be my model, especially if it has the same form factor as the pros. I'm sure the camera will be good enough for my use. I'm not a massive shutterbug anyway. I also don't need bleeding edge speed or 5G at this point in time either if it's not included. LTE seems good enough for the time being.

But would be super stoked if it still had it. :D

I'll just use my ipad pro when I need a bigger screen and ios. My front pocket is already thanking me both space wise and financially.

Not sure I'd 100% agree with the values concept here.

I presume you are an intelligent person :)
And you fully understand the very long process in building mobile phones.
With the 12 coming out this year, the 13 is probably well under development, and the 14 is in early stages.

So Apple spoke on stage about how a small phone was great, and showed a video about thus fact.
Whilst at the exact same time, in-house working on much larger screens.

Hence me saying not sure about the values, if you are already developing something which contradicts what you are publicly saying.

If they were indeed already working on the larger 6 when the statement was made, which they most likely were, totally.

Jobs was a great marketer, innovator, and business person but values were definitely questionable with family and stealing ideas from other people/companies. Just ask Xerox. ;)

While Apple once advertised the relatively small form factor of the 4" iPhone 5 as being the perfect size for one handed use ...
Because it is.

...there has been a steady growth in device sizes from the original 3.5" size to the largest 6.5" size.
Because Apple no longer aims for perfection, but for getting as much money as possible from subscriptions and services (and the customers who are happier with subscriptions are precisely the ones that follow trends and want shoe-sized phones -not because they like them, but because that's the trend).

We understand the screen size of iPhone 8/SE(4.7") vs upcoming 5.4" iPhone 12 but why not someone shows body size difference between them, having next to each other or on top of other.
So, we all know going forward, iPhone 12 5.4" will be new smaller iPhone and how it feels in hand compare to iPhone 8/SE ?

It was very nice size compared to 11 pro, too bad it’s not flagship phone, because i always been fan of compact phones, but i want best model.

Apparently won’t be much to distinguish the pro from non pro this year, now that the notch is apparently staying the same as well as no 120hz display (as per Weinbach, which he also confirmed in a reddit AMA today)

Seems to be Lidar, triple camera, ram and steel are the main distinguishers

I haven't been able to use an iPhone 1-handed since the 4s was replaced by the 5. Would love to have a 1-handed phone again.

This is going to be so good for one-handed use. I have the XS and it's a strange size for my pretty average sized hands - slightly too big for one-handed use but missing some of the real estate of the 6.1 and 6.5/7. I'll be down the Apple Store to get the feel of these in person for sure. I'm happy they're moving towards this new lineup which suits everyones needs.

I suppose with the flat edges I may be able to swipe down the control center with my thumb while keeping my pinky under the phone, but it's a reach for my tragically wee digits. Wish it was a quarter or even a half inch shorter, I'm more than willing to sacrifice an icon row... but it's definitely better than the Xs I've got right now. I'm left-handed too, I'd be super annoyed t'were I right handed as then I'd be doing that stretch every time I wanted to tap "back."

It's a little wider than I would have liked, but I'll still be getting it. Identical size to the original SE would have rocked.

Given the iPhone 5 was 4”, this 5.4” iPhone 12 isn’t going to magically increase the size of your dominant hand.

I have an XS and I’ve always like smaller phones better.

I pulled out a bunch of old phones to compare the size of the rumoured new iPhone and the Samsung galaxy alpha is very close when you account for the bezels and the squared edges.

I fired the phone up and used it for a good hour and the size felt glorious! it will be really tempting to get this new iPhone if the rumoured size turns out to be accurate.

As the owner of an 11 Pro because it was the smallest iPhone I could get when my 6s died, sold.
