I don't know if anyone noticed but the standard photo app on the iPhone seems to start at a narrower field (stronger zoom) than other photo apps (for example camera+).

Does anyone know the reason for that, and if iOS 5 has the same zoom and whether you are able to not only zoom in but zoom out past the starting point?

That's the only feature I really love of camera+ over the standard app as I can't cram a lot on the picture with the standard app.

See answers below.

I asked these once but got no answer! Please answer me!

1) Is it available to send files or photos via Bluetooth to other devices? (Not necessarily iDevices) Not that I can see
2) Do we have this basic feature of SMS Delivery Notification or it's limited to iMessage bubbles? I don't have any friends with iMessage to test, but I'm not getting notification on SMSes
3) Can developers make apps that show some updates in Notification Center such as Weather and Stocks app? Unknown. Not announced by Apple yet, at least. Nothing in the API notes.
4) Is it possible to add a music file to iPod without needing to sync? For example an attached mp3 in mail ... Doesn't look like it. Tried a few mp3's. Couldn't find a way to get them to my music library
5) Can someone please check if any new language or keyboard such as Persian of Farsi is added? Persian. No Farsi
6) How does the Open In feature work here? Does it copy the same file in each app you open? Not sure what you mean. Normally, if you "Open in" another app, it makes a copy in that app, as well. For example, I have .epub books in my Dropbox. I use "Open in" to get them to iBooks, where they then reside permanently.
7) Can Safari download files or we should use third party apps? Safari can only download files that other apps can "Open in". Dropbox is great for this. They have lots and lots of filetypes registered, and can upload them directly to your dropbox folder.

Thank you all so much in advance

Hmmm... I notice a *tiny* difference in still camera mode between iOS and Camera+.

There's a *big* difference when you're shooting video. I'm guessing this is because when you shoot video, it's just using the center pixels of the sensor, thereby cropping it, making your focal length longer.

Is there a workaround or fix for Facebook showing the no internet when commenting on a persons update?

Ive used her for two days now, i would say so

David

I'd concur. It's leaps and bounds better than iOS4 b2. In fact, I think it's a habit of Apple betas that the first one is pretty usable, the second is entirely broken, and then they start getting back on game gradually from there.

Netflix and Airvideo are currently broken in iOS5, though, so if you use either regularly, hold off. Airvideo is already working on an update, I believe.

Have just pushed all my apps to the iPad 2 to test tonight so see what happens
:)

Can we upload through a web browser? Does safari have access to say pages or good reader? is there any kind of sandboxed documents area?

running on my 3GS

notably slower with some apps, like Facebook. Lots of bugs with that app.

Pulldown info is nice.

Also, my battery dies almost twice as fast now :(

I posted this earlier but have not received an answer or solution. I do not have any widgets in the notifications bar on my first generation iPad running iOS 5. Any ideas for me? Neither the stock nor weather widgets are listed in the notification settings either.

Perhaps a bad installation?

I would guess thats because there aren't any stock or weather apps on the iPad.

anyone figure out a way to edit what comes up in the feed, and how to order them? I don't want Stocks, I don't do the stock market. And I'd like Weather at the top

Hmm, the developer Just2Me says he added me to his Developer Account (along with others) provided I beta test some of his apps in future. Seems fair enough ...

He emailed me confirming he's done it, but I've not installed iOS5 yet. If he's lying, I have a brick lol.

When you try to send a message (SMS or iMesaage) does the system still say "Unable to send message, try aain later" or whatever, or does the message just get queued and automatically sent later?

Same as iOS 4

Interesting on iOS 4 I have at least 4 feet more on the picture inside a room with camera+
so if for you it's tiny maybe they changed the zoom level, that'd be nice.

Well, in fairness, I was gauging it on something pretty close, so maybe there's more of a difference at a distance. I'll check and report back.

Is it stable enough to be used daily?

Define stable. I found it stable enough, but half my apps didn't work in one fashion or other, it got so hot you could fry an egg on it and the battery life sucked. It also got so slow you had to reboot it several times a day so it was at least usable.

Stable though? Sure.
