Here is a piece of marketing we're going to have to keep in mind when we get our hands on these.

Anyone else thinking about a Nokia Lumia 920?
How future proof are these new wp 8 devices?
I just really like the color of the new 920 yellowish green:D
But yeah, I'm considering.

The disappointment has been building in me for weeks so this is no earth shaker. I really hoped that there was a huge surprise but nothing. Lamest new generation announcement ever.

I won't be getting it. Pains me to say it but this will be the first time since '07 that I haven't had an iPhone as my primary device. 4S is just about sold on ebay. Just a little longer on the bidding.

I've replied to your posts twice now today as you have summed it up as well as I could. We are both equally disappointed to the same extent. I've had every single iPhone to date.....NOT this one though.

the only thing I was disappointed about what that the iPhone 5 didn't get the same volume and playback controls that the iPods did. I would have liked to have had those.

Im sooo glad i decided to wake up and unsleep myself after the iPhone 4. The iPhone 4s was a super small not worth it upgrade and now they gave yall a 0.5inch screen upgrade, smh. Plus i can still do more with my HTC One X then whats included in "The New iPhone"

You do realize the next version is just gonna be an iPhone 5S, right?

If you have the iPhone 4, I'd get the iPhone 5.

Yes, Ive decided rather then upgrade every year I will get the 's' version of each handset.
Currently have the 4s.

Apple sure knows how to make grown folks cry like a bunch whinny kids. Sheesh.

Apple has.. with the iPhone 4.. took on the majority by storm. Relative to other keynotes, this one appears more low tune.. for the iPhone at least. Im sure the non-iPhone part is going to be the exciting part.

That is simply not true. Lots of people hated the iPhone 4. Said it was ugly and that they would never buy it, etc.

IMO, iPhone 5 is a work of art.

I think the end of creative Apple is near. I knew when Jobs went, it was over for Apple, just a matter of time.

The 5 will sell plenty for sure, but come on with those advertisement, you gotta be mind controlled to believe that crap.

Take a look at this.

The most notable of these vents is the one located in the stem of each EarPod. It allows air inside the stem, which acts as an acoustic chamber, to flow out. So you hear deeper, richer bass tones. The overall audio quality of Apple EarPods is so impressive, they rival high-end headphones that cost hundreds of dollars more.

They're really going hog-wild here. Headphones that come with your phone that rival headphone costing hundreds of dollars?:confused::confused:

The only reason I dropped iPhone was because of LTE, now that it has it I can let go of my Nexus because I hate not having the same apps, and the ability to sync them between my phone, iPad, and mac. I for one am ecstatic about the new iPhone because I could care less if it was bigger I just wanted LTE.

I think cell phones have kinda hit the top, there was always ways to make big improvements on them but now it's very small. I'm happy with my iPhone 4 and see no reason to upgrade to the 5. When I upgrade from the 3G there were many reason why to upgrade, like cooler design, much faster, better display, thinner. But now sure these things get improved on but unlike the 3G there is nothing wrong with the 4 screen, size, design, thickness and so on. I don't think this event disappointed me but the new iPhone doesn't make me want to upgrade the same way the 4 did and I think cell phones have kinda climax for now.

I really wonder how long after losing Steve it'll take for the competitors to catch up or even surpass Apple now, as they, IMHO, sat still for this iPhone.

I never know how to decipher these types of threads.

Are folks literally disappointed because it's not a super phone...

Or is it really a money/no upgrade eligability issue, and it's just easier to place blame on what the iphone can't do?

OK lets see now:

  1. People wanted a bigger screen - Check
  2. People wanted an improved retina - Check
  3. People wanted LTE - Check
  4. People wanted a better camera - Check
  5. People wanted a new design - Check
  6. People wanted it faster - Check
  7. People wanted 5ghz wifi- Check
  8. People wanted better battery life - Check
  9. People wanted better Siri - Check
  10. People wanted better voice calling - Check
  11. People wanted NFC - Unchecked, can't have it all!

The screen isn't wider, the software isn't much improved, no NFC, battery life is the same (I'd rather have the same thickness as the iPhone 4 with a bigger battery inside than get the same battery life with LTE)

Yeah I'm pretty sure Apple stores everywhere are probably flooded with people trying to get the new headphones. Especially here in the city at Grand Central and the 5th Avenue store.

Actually, he had an image that said "Kill Me"...so I said people are lining up now...you missed that part.
