After looking at the 3:2, 3.5" screen since iPhone 1, a new 4" 16:9 screen will seem odd.

Just wait a few weeks.

The 3:2, 3.5" old display will seem squat and stubby after people have adjusted to working iOS with new dimensions.

It's kind of ridiculous that they don't include 1 adapter with the products. That 30pin has been integrated into so much stuff.

I bought a Galaxy Nexus back earlier this year and had planned on leisurely coming back to the iPhone and get on StraightTalk to lower my monthly payment. Now, I don't even know. :(
Just get on StraightTalk and stick with what you got if you're happy with it.

Holy crap, the iPod Touch 4th to 5th gen seems to be a better upgrade than the iPhone 4S to iPhone 5. It's got a iSight camera with flash and an anodized aluminum body and the same tall screen.

And Siri? And 5 different colors to choose from?

Expect to see poor teenagers wielding their 5G ipod touch instead of the lacklustre iPhone 5.

You can't expect them to pass up this profit opportunity.

And that loop thingie wont let them drop it either!

150 No
150 Yes

Anyways, think I'll hold off shopping for awhile. Maybe the 5S or 6 will get my hard-earned money.

Not going to bother changing my phone just yet. Will wait for the next version.

You do realize the next version is just gonna be an iPhone 5S, right?

If you have the iPhone 4, I'd get the iPhone 5.

Does anyone else feel that the iphone should look the way the new ipod does?

I would be happy with that!

Disappointing.

There is no "killer app" with this iPhone, it's just a stretched iPhone 4S, this should've been called iPhone 4GS. And I prefer the 4S' size and shape.

Look at this, it looks stupid, disproportionate.

Nothing innovative and new here, I mean LTE? It's not new, most phones have this. The camera is the same and it does not have optical image stabilization like Lumia, what is really innovative. Three microphones? "Amazing!" Nokia does this. There is one innovative, magical feature though... Panorama.

No NFC
No Wi-Fi Direct
No real camera innovations(I don't care that the camera module is 25% smaller, who cares!? I want a better camera, Sony released a 13MP(I know MP isn't everything but this is Sony's top of the line sensor) sensor, why didn't you use that?
Is the new connector even USB 3.0?
How about something radically new like removing the home button and replacing it with gestures like Zephyr?

Apple are definitely becoming complacent and super, super predictable. For other companies it's alright, for Apple, who charges premium and is built on being an industry leader in innovation and design, this is very dangerous.

Stop reading the rumors. Most people are upset because they knew what the new iphone was going to look like and what it was going to have on it. What has hurt apple is all the people that make good money off apple rumors.

I'm fine with the design and look of the phone. It's the features I feel are lacking a little...

Pretty much how I feel. It looks quite nice on the Apple website and in their promo video, but what can it do that the 4S couldn't? Hmmm.

If I didn't have 4 lines up for upgrade next month I probably wouldn't even consider upgrading for a good while after the keynote.

Wow im so upset. I bought an S3 to try and I dont think im as happy as I should be, because I was hoping the iphone 5 would sway me back, but im not getting a single thing new.

Guess im stuck with Android for two more years.

It is what it is. There isn't really anything they could add that will blow people away, so instead they have gone about improving all the features the iPhone does have:
Better camera
Faster
Bigger/better screen
Better sound
Faster Connectivity

Just waiting for the UK 4G prices before deciding for sure,

Listen I bash Apple like crazy in the past year but they definitely introduced things first like the Apple Macintosh.

You're correct on all counts. They rarely ever introduce cutting edge. Those complaining about it being boring, etc. are just regurgitating what they said 4 months ago when iOS 6 was shown. It's an opportunity for them to voice their opinion of what they think is better.

Well, I'm not saying they haven't. I was asking a legit question since I don't know their history like some people do. Just from my recent observations -- and I have to admit, I really only "observe" the iPhone and iPad developments -- I get the impression that they're not trying to be a "feature leader" in the market. Out of the list of possible features, versus the competition, there are many checkboxes left unchecked (if you will) in the iDevice column. Even those that ARE checked are never usually the latest iteration of the particualr tech.

With those few "observations", I feel like I realistically set my expectations for new iDevices.

It helps reduce letdown and anger :p

I'm out. No more iPhones for me. Apple and their lack of creativity with this version has sincerely disappointed me, I really do believe Apple set the benchmark 4 years ago but has been left behind, certainly todays launch brought absolutely positively nothing new to the table in terms of hardware or software. I'll continue using my 4S until it either dies or hopefully Samsung addresses the dim blue/grey screen on the SIII and I'll go Android, don't want to but you made me Apple...:(

i want

I want a damn notification LED on the front.

&

Custom notification center power management widget.

you can never please people smh.. always 50-50

The 50% that appear pleased here in this poll I can assure you are 3GS or iPhone 4 owners who didn't jump onto the 4S when it launched. As far as I'm concerned Apple is no longer a player in mobile phones.

I'm very happy with the official spec's of the ip5 and with iOS6. I'll be ordering x2 ip5's on Friday.
