I hate how many different models Apple are creating, I miss when they had just one type.

For the normal iPhone user it must be so confusing lol

You mean 2008-mid 2009?

Because by mid 2009 Apple was selling the 3G and 3GS. By mid-2010 they were selling two form factors in the 3GS and the iPhone 4.

So you’re hoping to go back in time 7-8 years?

can they stop with making these things bigger and bigger ffs?
iPhone X is already huge so if they want LCD version then make it either the same size or smaller. Some people just don't need or want elephant phones.

Heh...i'm happy for plus to come out.
hmm...should i return x for a budget phone until x plus comes out?
That plus is going to be very expensive.

Good luck, guinea pig beta tester crash dummies who buy the Plus-sized phone next year. Thanks to my higher intellect, I’ll be waiting until 2019 when all the kinks have been ironed out. That’ll be the REAL iPhone to get! So glad I’m waiting.

I have not purchase any of the iPhones from this year yet. But I think by the time the iPhone X plus comes out all the kinks should be ironed. Remember is always the first generation not the second.

It’s pretty clear this guy is talking about multiple NEW iPhones. Which apple has only been doing since the 5s/5c debacle. Don’t create a straw man

If the notch is the best Apple can do, the future looks bleak. I guess Apple is “all in” with the notch.

How is it any different in terms of "best they can do" than having bezels at the top and bottom of the device? I'm sure it is the "best they can do" for 2017 and 2018. Unless you expect them to be able to put the faceID tech under the screen or make it 6 times smaller to fit in a tiny sliver traditional bezel in a single year.

Sounds like a grand for a phone is the new norm. Crazy. Now they lock you in for the data and the hardware. Payments in perpetuity for that thing we can't live without. I'm guilty. But can't help but recognize the system we're sucked into.

That's fine if Apple wants to make a larger one and charge more for it.

But there needs to be feature-parity across the OLED models. After the X, no one is going to buy the argument that some special camera improvement can only be unique to the 6.5" model.

I only ever bought the Plus models for the camera, and I'm ecstatic that the X has come down to reality with a usable size AND all of the hardware Apple can dish out.

I'm never, ever going to buy a 6.5" iPhone and I will be extremely irritated if I'm missing out on camera or other hardware features because Apple chose to make them unique to the "premium" model.

Exactly this - feature parity between sizes is paramount. I bought the 7 Plus just for the camera but I hated the size and weight of it. I don't want a bigger screen, it's of no use what so ever. I want the flagship device - so they better had keep parity across devices.

It's starting to feel like they are carving out the lower screen size just to make room for the Apple Watch to seem like a better mobile solution.

Not all of us want a massive screen that hardly fits in a pocket.

The current X eliminated 4.7" models for good but demoted the LCD Plus ones as the budget one.

High tier - OLED XL
Mid tier - OLED X
Low tier - LCD Plus

Since when is $650-$750 budget-friendly?

I personally want silver banding on ALL color options next year. I don't care about fingerprints and scratches. I want PREMIUM like seeing the first iPhone. The space gray X is too similar to the jb 7 and sg 8. Boring. Been there, done that. Blends in easily with other Androids if viewed from that angle...

Jeez Apple, take a step back and remember that smaller can be better.

What I'd really like is an iPhone SE X (may need to rethink the name)--an edge-to-edge design in a smaller iPhone SE form factor.

Bye bye to the hopes of a small size SE?

I get the 6.5" and 5.8", but why not make the LCD one smaller (maybe 5")? Make it more of a budget version, to replace the SE form factor. Guess that just makes too much sense.
Good lord yes! They’re killing me with this phablet obsession.

Welp so much for my X that is expected to show up on the 16th. Going right back so I can hold out for the X plus. I guess this time its a good thing that it didn't show up sooner.
