What’s there to be excited about this year?
I’m pretty damn excited about the smaller form factor, as are many others. I’ve had my iPhone 8 for three years waiting for a smaller premium phone.

I'm talking about note 20 ultraNo it's turned off by default, because it's such a huge battery drain. Even Samsung itself says "Standard Refresh Rate: 60 Hz, get longer battery life"

That's the reason Apple hasn't used it in its iPhones. Nobody will praise its screen, if the battery life is cut by 25%.
Always lol at “her” comments."Again, a girl will disagree with me".
Or....be confused by you. What? Terrible grammar.![]()
My current phone is the iphone 11 pro was dead set on iphone 12 pro max my mind changed probably go for the cheap iphone 12.... no way I'm paying £1199 base storage model for a phone without 120hz...iPhone 13 or iPhone 2021:
120Hz, Touch ID, Small notch, LTPO display, new dual band 5G modem.
Thanks Apple, I will wait with my 11 Pro in hands one more year.
I believe he meant the 120 whatever refresh rate. The iPad Pro doesn’t have a notch. It has a bezel, but not a notch. The display isn’t interrupted with a giant cutout.
It’s embarrassing to not have the 120fps most of the rivals’ phones already include.
In 365 days you and Apple will be changing your tune as Tim Cook stands in front at the keynote hyping up this “revolutionary” new 120hz display on the iPhone 12s120Hz is completely unnecessary for 95% of phone users. It's a huge tax on the battery for what is an non-feature for the large majority of users.
well we want it so120Hz is completely unnecessary for 95% of phone users. It's a huge tax on the battery for what is an non-feature for the large majority of users.
source for 2?
Those users shouldn't be buying a "Pro" model, then. The Pro models should have the 120 Hz option, as that's what you're paying for when you buy the "Pro" model at the premium price.120Hz is completely unnecessary for 95% of phone users. It's a huge tax on the battery for what is an non-feature for the large majority of users.

Same reason they cannot do 120Hz this year - supply chain. Apple typically builds and sells more of a single model of iPhone than any other company in the world so it’s all or nothing. At least they have enough components to modify the notch in one model of iPhone if the rumors are true.Wait if they’re capable of making a narrower notch, why not put it on the other models as well?
So are ultra high resolution displays and 8 GB or RAM and HDR, etc. When we deal with luxury devices, nothing is essential because it’s all about the fashion statement and one upping last year’s models with the new hotness.120Hz is completely unnecessary for 95% of phone users. 120Hz display drivers likely generate more heat. More heat means more throttling of A14. It's not as simple as a bigger battery.
And the iPhone 11 Pro was just an updated version of the XS, which was just an updated version of the X, which was just an updated version of the 8, which was just an updated version of the 7, which was just an updated version of the 6S, which was just an updated version of the 6, which was just an updated version of the 5S, which was just an updated version of the 5, which was just an updated version of the 4S, which was just an updated version of the 4, which was just an updated version of the 3GS, which was just an upgraded version of the 3G, which was just an upgraded version of the first generation iPhone.120hz would have been nice. 5G is in its infancy and for most people will not make a big difference.
Just realize that if you buy the iPhone 12 it’s basically an enhanced and updated iPhone 11 according to the leaks
2.) Sony IMX686 64 Mpx image sensor in the Back Wide Camera in ALL models.
first of all, the iPad Pro has a variable refresh rate, and it’s an LCD display. The rumored 120 Hz that was being worked on for the iPhone 12 was not variable. It was stuck at either 60 or 120 Hz. With the iPad Pro, it can go down all the way to one hurt, and crank all the way up to 120 Hz when scrolling. It does this to save battery and decrease load on the processor, while at the same time retaining the full resolution of the screen.Which 120Hz Android phones have you actually owned? BE HONEST.
The Samsung S20 5G looks absolutely beautiful at 2400x1080/120Hz. If your eyesight is so excellent that you think you need 3200x1440, then guess what? That mode also takes a hit on the battery due to pushing all those pixels.
Pick your poison -- I for one, having a Samsung S20 5G (actually I got it for the wife), can say that 2400x1080 looks laser sharp and she mentions how much she prefers the 120Hz over her old 60Hz display.
Also, doesn't the iPad Pro have ProMotion (120Hz) already? Is that somehow inferior to whatever Apple is trying to accomplish on the iPhone 12?
Apple’s saying the same thing about you. They know what to do and have the money but that cannot overcome physics and the fact that a global pandemic shut down production lines for some key components this year. Every company is affected and now so will consumers be too. Can’t believe after how many years of ProMotion on the iPad Pro, they still have not figured it out. Almost redic even if I don’t really need it
