I'm guessing one of the reasons for not including 120Hz with LTPO backplane that can be automatically adjusted from 10Hz to 120hz (like the one being use on Note 20 Ultra) is cost. Samsung is either setting the price too high or not willing to share their latest tech with rival until they have it in their own products for a year. Apple can go with other manufacturers, but that probably doesn't make financial sense since they already have a deal in place for regular OLED with Samsung.

Always wondered how the same old notch would work on the 5.4 inch iPhone.

But now why wouldn’t Apple use this smaller notch on the bigger iPhones?

Perhaps the iPhone 5.4 inch comes with a cutdown FaceID to make it fit.

I'd be willing to bet I could place two phones side by, one with 120hz and one without and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

im so upset about 120hz I wouldn't mind having lower batt, this has been annoying the leaks on and off :(

I have an XS Max, and the battery is at 95 percent after almost 2 years of lots of use. I'm not in a rush to get a new phone, but I'm interested in what Apple has to offer. A 120 Hz refresh rate would be nice, but I think it's more of a necessity with Android phones. Some Android phones I look at still have micro-stuttering, and a higher refresh rate seems to help.

I have an 11 Pro Max and a 2018 IPad Pro. I love my phone, but my IPad is by far my favorite Apple product and for me anyway, the difference between 120 and 60 is noticeable and makes the IPad more enjoyable to me. If this is what the 12 offers I’m going to pass, but that’s also because I really like the 11 Pro Max and don’t mind holding on to it until a feature that I’m willing to pay for comes along. More disposable income for the AirTags which I’m surprisingly excited about and maybe something else if Apple surprises.

Been thinking a switch to Android might be something to think hard about this time around. If you use google apps consistently, its not as big a culture shock.

Holding out hope but it looks like I'll just keep my iPhone X another year. Another new iPhone with just a LIDAR camera update and a squared off design isn't enough of a reason to upgrade for me personally.
