Glad they're "throwing that in there" as opposed to glad they're not going to invade your privacy??If CSAM launches off, people will definitely need 1TB iPhone.
Glad, Apple is throwing that option out there.

You said why right from the start "absolute Apple fan"Absolute apple fan here, but if my iPhone X has 256gb.. it’s four years old now.. memory is so much cheaper now in 2021.. how Apple even sells a 64 or 128gb phone that now shoots 4k video with no memory card still perplexes me…
CSAM doesn’t invade anyone’s privacy, so there’s that.Glad they're "throwing that in there" as opposed to glad they're not going to invade your privacy??
If you're ok with them scanning your photos, Siri conversations and email for content I guess.CSAM doesn’t invade anyone’s privacy, so there’s that.
Hmm I’m not following the line of questioning. Are you starting a new topic? They are. Why need more than 256GB?
They don’t scan any of those things, but sure.If you're ok with them scanning your photos, Siri conversations and email for content I guess.
Next they'll scan for other content too. Maybe your music to make sure you're not downloading from somewhere else.
Then your documents for copyright materials.
Your opinion about this would be the exact opposite if Samsung was doing this instead of Apple.
64 is my sweet spot for ipads. For me 64Gb is the sweet spot and I have to get more than I need.
If you are watching movies on your iPhone you have a bigger problem than your storage![]()

People want photos for more than social media, though it is a shame what those services do to photo and video quality. I personally care about decent quality photos of my kids 20+ years from now. That's what I'll never understand why someone would buy a pro for casual use — sites like FB, Twitter, Instagram all compress the hell out of photos and videos — they rarely look anything like the originals.
I'll even bump up saturation (sometimes very high) on photos before posting just to try to save the look of the original before it appears on Instagram or FB.
Twitter for videos is beyond ridiculous for compression - any video looks like it was shot with a flip phone from the mid 90s.
I hope they just dismissed the whole CSAM.Glad they're "throwing that in there" as opposed to glad they're not going to invade your privacy??
Those who want to store up to 1TB on the device.Ps: Who in the crazy world needs a 1TB phone in their pocket?
ICloud is also going to increase, and the bigger your SSD the less you have to worry about the time it takes. Plus we already have Wi-Fi 6 and 5G.Behold the $1999 iPhone.
Have fun backing up that 1TB model
Apple could have added this option years ago. But they didn’t
The reason is simple if you’re going to pay$1600-$1800 for an iPhone you’re going to keep it longer and that’s not what wants
I’m only using 24gb of 32gb on my iPhone se, no cloud neededFor each use case obviously, but unless you do not believe in cloud storage i personally think 128 is fine for just about 99% of average consumers
