Agreed. I used SEs for a long time and upgraded to a 13 Mini. No plans to upgrade for now, but I'll be curious to see how things look in 1-2 years. Putting the 3nm A17 into the SE or Mini would alleviate the battery issues with that size. Not me, the 13 mini will do for another 4-5 years. Played around with the 14pro for a day. Too big, too heavy, weight doesn't feel well distributed. I'm good.
what you don't like the boobie bumps camera? 🤣 It's the best part of the iPhone. Really i hate it I hate mine on 14 PromaxWhy would anyone care about a periscope lens? I’d rather have some decent colours and a less ridiculous looking camera bump
It’s just a matter of planning out specs and pricing correctlyThat seems optimistic given the expected price increase.
4 years, in my opinion the current iPhone design is same as iPhone X from 2017.The fact that Apple keeps the iPhone design the same for 4 years and raises the price for a "pErIScoPe LeNS" is a joke.
I thought Macrumors users were a bit more savvy these days and would’ve wised up to Apple’s up selling tactics but judging by quite a few comments, I guess not.
I’ll probably be holding on to my iPhone 11 for another year then. I find my 11 to be the absolute max size I’m willing to go. It’s on the too large side as it is.
Can't believe people in comments here are already simping for it despite zero changes from 14 PM, other than increase in price. Incredible how Apple is able to brainwash people tricking them into buying the same thing since 2017 just wrapped in different paper.
I see three possibilities:I think the price increase is gonna be in the Pro Max only.
The fact that Apple keeps the iPhone design the same for 4 years and raises the price for a "pErIScoPe LeNS" is a joke.
It's hardly surprising, the 15 Pro has been doctored again by Apple and will likely be the worst seller out of all the 15's.
Apple is aiming for the highest-end iPhone 15 Pro Max to account for roughly 35–40% of initial shipments for the iPhone 15 series when it launches next month, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. That would give Apple's most expensive model the highest share among the four models in the lineup, with Apple planning for Pro Max shipments to be 10–20% higher than for the iPhone 14 Pro Max last year.

One of the main features pushing users toward the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to be the periscope lens camera, which will allow for higher optical zoom of 5x–6x compared to the 3x optical zoom available in the current models. The new periscope lens camera will be exclusive to the Pro Max model this year before expanding to the smaller iPhone 16 Pro next year. The staged rollout to the Pro lineup will allow Apple and its exclusive supplier of periscope lenses, Largan, to start with production of 15–20 million iPhone units equipped with the component this year before growing by 70–80% to around 30 million next year.
Kuo notes that the periscope lens costs about three to four times more than a traditional high-end lens, meaning Largan will benefit significantly from its partnership with Apple to provide the component. The new lens for the iPhone 15 Pro Max and other improvements could see Apple increase the cost of the Pro models by at least $100 compared to the current lineup.
The iPhone 15 lineup will be debuting in just a few weeks, with rumors pointing to an event on Tuesday, September 12. Pre-orders should begin a few days later, with a launch following on Friday, September 22.
Some rumors had indicated the Pro Max model could see a delayed launch by a few weeks, but Kuo reported earlier today that mass shipments of that model are beginning this week, so while there may be some early supply constraints, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is likely to become available alongside the rest of the new lineup.

The really funny thing is, that most will use the telephoto lens 2/3 times a year and yet that's the main reason they buy the larger phone 🤣I feel like if tons of people get hooked to buy the most expensive model for the camera they’ll never bring it down 😂
The Pro is not small, by any stretch of imagination 😏It'll be interesting to see what they do I've thought if they raise the price of the small Pro then all of a sudden the large base model doesn't look so out of place market / price wise and would probably sell better - whether that is a desirable outcome for them is another question.
The 12 Pro only lags behind in the camera & battery department, the 13 Pro is much, much better in both areas.I don't know what the iPhone 13, 14 or 15 have to offer above the good old 12 Pro, apart from slightly faster processor and slightly better camera?
I have bought each and every model since iPhone (1), until iPhone X.
Then skipped iPhone 11 and bought iPhone 12 Pro.
Never use a protection cover or band, or anything, it still works, nothing broken, and still good looking iPhone 12 Pro Blue.
To be honest, it simply works.
I saved a lot of money to not upgrade, and do not really miss out on anything.
Please, can anyone give me a good, real reason why I should ditch the 12 Pro and go for the 15 Pro?
What's there I cannot do now on the 12 Pro?
That is one heck of a courageous projection.
I want the better camera too but if we give in to apples’s nickel and diming then the regular pros won’t ever get it, stay strong brotherUgh. I might have to buy the big one if the camera is really that much better. I'm mostly a camera phone user. If Pros match cameras next year I'll go back to the smaller iPhone. They'd better name the big one Ultra, since pros with different features is rather putrid.
Actually, they use chest straps for binoculars.I just want to officially state that I don’t understand you people who want to carry around a giant boat anchor in your pocket everywhere you go.
Ok so I’ve decided to cut some of the apple devices that do the same/similar things. Have iPads that don’t get used at all so my plan is to upgrade to the larger phone from the 13 mini so I don’t miss the few times I actually did use the iPads lol.Where are my macrumor mini owners who said they’d never buy another iPhone but now are secretly planning to buy an iPhone pro max?
Then there would be no option in between SE, Mini and Pro Max. Everybody don’t like the size of the size of the Mini and SE, so it would be unfair to not a phone in the middle between the 3 devices. There's too many... just make an SE, a Mini and a Pro Max.
Ideally, make the Mini as "pro" as possible in terms of camera and long battery life, skip the silly features like pro motion, dynamic island, lidar.
