You're right, I have a hard time imagining Apple making a sub-$329 even-more-budget iPad... so, fingers crossed for an iPad mini Pro! With a FaceID/lack of home button redesign they could probably fit an 8.9" display into a body that's very nearly the same size as the current 7.9" mini. Add Pencil support and it'd be perfect for travel photographers.
Well. It’s just good old Kuo stating this.If true, I don’t expect a lot of retraction from those people who decreed with impressive confidence that the ipad mini was dead, get over it, move on.
What’s the point of the iPad mini now that iPhones reach the 6.5” territory?
Ummm, the iPhone XS Max starts at $1100. The iPad Mini 4 is $400. Also, the screen sizes are directly comparable - the iPad Mini still has close to twice the screen area of the iPhone XS Max. I think the iPad Mini is pretty popular with pilots and in retail settings, in addition to the consumers who like the smaller form factor so I think it may be a device that while Apple doesn't see value in updating it annually it does make sense to update it every few years to drive upgrades in those settings. What’s the point of the iPad mini now that iPhones reach the 6.5” territory?
The Xr cost €850 wher I live. So that would make the (don’t believe it) iPad Mini cost, according to your calculations, less then €250!About $600 price difference. That's the point. Aside from the fact that even a 6.5 inch screen has still roughly only about 75% of the screen size of the 7.9 inch iPad mini.
Anyway, I have my doubts that we will actually see Mac updates, at least no significant ones. No because I'm just negative, but because the iPad Pro update is too big to share the stage time with a hypothetical reworked new Mac mini or "low-cost" Macbook.
Mac pro!!!!! Where’s the announcement?
I have a XS Max but a mini I still want because It’s a bigger screenI thought the XS Max was the new iPad mini...

I'm not interested in another Macbook Pro unless it is 17".

Wow. Your response sounds like you actually believe this as it was coming from .
Kuo just throws stuff at a wall knowing one of them will stick.
Mac Mini, iPad Mini are dead. doesn’t care about anything with Mini behind it. It has to be Pro. To justify the high cost.
I wonder if they will do a XR style iPad as a lower cost version?
Sure, but they could use the bezel- and button-less design to be a feature of the Pro to set it apart. A Mini-Pro would be difficult to place in the market.I think most people here would be exciteded about this but a Mini with the home button and bezels doesn’t sound very interesting to me.
Would look awesome but... can you imagine the cost?? Top 15” currently maxes out at what, close to $7000 with tax? Please bring back the 17" MBP!
And what about the One More Thingy?
Or a new shirt?![]()
Because he’s right about plenty of things over the yearsWhy are they listening to Kuo? Seriously these are all predictions everyone on this forum can make! USB Type C on Apple products? Ha! That's a good one!
Kuo states the bleedingly obvious and hopes something will stick so he can keep his false reputation...
New iPad Mini, yeah right!
