I don’t think white bezels are a big issue to people who buy lower end apple products like the iMac and MacBook Air. They’re usually students/ families who buy them and they usually don’t care about bezel color. 90% of the advertising material for the m1 iMac was families and students so. If Apple does do a colorful MacBook line, expect white/light gray bezels
Yeah I don’t like them but it makes sens that this would be the design language for consumer line-up

I hate this. (first world problems mind you I know). I want to get a new Mac but without a full update of their product catalog it is hard to buy something right now. I have talked to a lot of other people who are on the sidelines like me just waiting for more info so we can make a buying decision.

I think once their product lines are all refreshed (14", 16", etc) Apple will see a major influx of purchases.

And it's name is simply: MacBook.
Agree. It’s pretty redundant these days. They should Kill the air name. Air only works when there’s another product of similar size you can compare it to that has equal performance but light weight. IE the mini name wouldn’t work without another regular iPhone next to it. Might as well call it iPhone 12 and take out the mini of the product stands for itself.

They should cut the price of the current Air and rename it MacBook when the M2 Air launches. That will be in line with the iPad naming. The MacBook will receive older chips.

The current Air looks fresh enough and doesn’t need a new design for years.

Time to rename the HomePod mini too

And hopefully they'll drop the wedge shaped profile of the body, just go to a simple uniform thickness like all other MacBooks. There's no benefit to having the body taper down towards the keyboard, just because you can.

Always funny when people argue semantics around something that's all about branding. Air sells.

I’ll beleive this once we actually see the new Macbook Pro’s. M2 + new case + colors + Mini-LED sounds like way too many upgrades for one year.

But while they are at the redesign, please just add a USB-C port to the other side…
Let me seconds that addition USB-C. My power output is on my right - not the left and I hate having a cord draped across my lap.

True, just google bent case MacBook Air or similar

Apple history told us, that many times (not all the time) they will lower the price of the current M1 MBA to probably 799$ and the M2 Mba will start from 1000$ and this way....Apple will also make more money since the M1 will perform well even in 3 years from now
I doubt it. I think the current M1 MBA will remain in the lineup with a $999 starting price and the new M2 MBA (or MB) will replace the current M1 13" MBP and start at $1,299.

Meanwhile people will whine about Prosser being a bad leaker.
Not to defend the guy, but he's been spot on quite a few things lately.

The colorful iMacs and the look of the AirTag were the most notable ones.

Pending to be confirmed :
- The 3D model of the iPhone 13
- Concept images from the upcoming Mac Mini (I've seen a CAD file yesterday on Twitter which looked quite a lot like what he showed us 2 months ago)
- Concept images from the upcoming MBA

Only time will tell, but I do believe his images are pretty accurate.

Just got a base M1 Air as a stop gap waiting for these new Airs. Going to max-it out :D
Even the white bezels have grown on me and MagSafe would be incredible because I'm a klutz. . Wallet is ready!

Please let them have a silver option with black bezels. This is the computer I've been waiting for.
Highly Unlikely if the new MacBook/MacBook air line is colorful like the iMac. The 14/16” MBP’s will likely be the ones with black bezels

I'd love some non-pastel looking colours.

That being said, I have never seen the iMac 24" colours in person, only in MR and on apple.com. They might look better in person.

Honestly they look sort of the same in person as on screen. Pastel on the chin, but the metal is pretty vibrant. I’d expect the MacBook to be just that metal color, as they don’t really have a chin (hopefully, am I right?).

Way too late. Why can't these be out this year? Due to the pandemic, people are upgrading their computers in 2020 and 2021. By 2022, those who wanted to upgrade probably had done so.
