Highly Unlikely if the new MacBook/MacBook air line is colorful like the iMac. The 14/16” MBP’s will likely be the ones with black bezels
That's what I'm worried about. I'm sure I could get used to a white bezel or black it out with a skin or something, it just seems like such a terrible design choice especially now that dark mode is so prevalent.

Price compared to the mini-led 256 GB iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard, it would most likely cost around $1399-$1499 No way this will start at $999.

Way too late. Why can't these be out this year? Due to the pandemic, people are upgrading their computers in 2020 and 2021. By 2022, those who wanted to upgrade probably had done so.
You answered your own question, the pandemic :) The pandemic and silicon shortages have made it difficult for many tech manufacturers to get stuff released and or supplied

Waiting for MacBook Pro, second or third gen M-series, matte black, with Mini LED displays. Although a 32" 6K iMac Pro would be tempting too.

Always funny when people argue semantics around something that's all about branding. Air sells.

It is a reflection of Steve Jobs' premise of a simplified product lineup. You have a base product for a category and a pro version. Air branding made sense when introduced but is cringe worthy when applied to a notebook that is not significantly lighter than the pro version.

I said it a little bit up but it’s worth repeating, 99% of the people who purchase the “consumer” level Apple products just don’t care at all about the bezel color.

The chip shortage is actually mostly affecting older 55nm-ish chips. Apple has been largely unaffected too, as they order in the kinds of quantities that gives them priority manufactuing status.

Love the idea of multiple colours, just not the weak pastely colours shown here or present on the iMacs. I'd personally much prefer the deeper colours of the back of the iMac. And no white bezel.
Totally agree - it’s what I thought when I first looked at the image of the stack of MBA’s in the article. These pastel colors are just too light, too feminine - maybe that’s not exactly the right word for it. They look too child-like. It’s not that I want the old dark grays, silver or black colors that we’ve lived with for the past 20 years, but I’d love to see a rich orange or even the dark greens and blues of the past iPhones, as options.

Meanwhile people will whine about Prosser being a bad leaker.
Not to defend the guy, but he's been spot on quite a few things lately.
What does it matter if he's right or wrong in terms of this article. He's predicting these models to come out in mid 2022. We're currently in mid 2021. Nothing to get excited about. If anyone is excited over a baseline computer being released an entire year from now I think they need to find more exciting things in their life.
Only time will tell, but I do believe his images are pretty accurate.
Yep, an entire year.

I wonder if material MacBooks are made out of are difficult to get in bright pungent colors like the back of the M1 iMac? Or maybe not profitable for Apple? It would be amazing if you could chose between the lighter pastel metal colors or the bolder colors. Though the images of the new iMac don’t do it justice in real life. It’s no where near as “light” in real life. The color is really nice in person

Not correct. The iMac is still on delayed shipping. Order today for delivery in September. That's the base model. All the others are for late August shipping if you don't do CTO. Increase the ram and delivery is for September.

I hope they do add more colors to the air lineup. Like the air with the M1 chip would love some additional colors as well.

The launch date doesn't make sense. This will most likely be the cheapest laptop apple sell, so most likely the best selling, and it will fall in the back to school program promotion.
Don't apple usually get rid of old stock using the back to school promotion and launch a new laptop around October?

Err, that’s because the image is from Prosser and RendersbyIan, as you can see from the watermark in the image.

Prosser leaked this new design and the colours some time ago.
The image was created by RendersbyIan and based on actual leaked pictures.
(releasing the render rather than the actual photos protects the source)
This ‘confirmation‘ from Ming Chi adds more credibility to Prosser’s leak.
Ok, and I still think it’s hilarious…

If prisms produced the same dull colors as the iMac than Newton would have been a footballer.
