and this is no redesign! Just a spec bump
Internally, iMac Pro is totally different.

16" laptop is more then a spec bump
Guess today is not the day, 2020 looking more and more likely unfortunately. But hopefully whenever they release the Mac Pro.
To be fair, Apple never said they were releasing anything this month. For all we know it was always scheduled for next yea.
Apple will not release a brand new machine by press release. And certainly not alongside the $5000 Mac Pro.Let me throw this at you. Don't kill the messenger:

FCC approves Apple’s new Mac Pro, suggesting an imminent launch
Apple’s Mac Pro has just received FCC approval, meaning it could be released any time now. This corroborates a leak from just days ago, which added further evidence that the high-end Mac is just days from launch. If you’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on the new Mac Pro, your chance could...www.digitaltrends.com
No reason MBP would not be released alongside this

You realize you wouldn't have to actually use the touchscreen, right? But others that don't care about fingerprints could enjoy the benefits of it. So it should be a win-win - if Apple gave people the option...

I have doubts that there even is a 16.Oh? You got your news straight from Apple? Please, give us the real news.
You seem so definitive on this

The timing just doesn’t make sense to release a new one off laptop this late in the season. Especially with all of the hype over the Mac Pro. If the 16 is so important it won’t get a silent press release and get buried on Apples website. The difference with the Mac Pro is that it's already been announced and introduced. The 16" is just rumored. And the removal of the icon from the public release of 10.15.1 seems to suggest some kind of delay.

The only was a 16 makes sense is if they discontinue the 15 altogether. 13,15,16 inch machines don’t make much sense. Maybe WWDC gets a whole product refresh and they announce the successor to the 15. I can’t see how both coexist.Okay, I like that better
Yeah, you could be right.
I am just not giving up until the end of Friday after all the announcements have been made, if any more are to be made
