For actual owners: does G32P too glossy(mentioned in another thread)? how does it compare with iMac 5k and LG 27 5K?
same as iMac 5K: glossy and reflective. Not ideal if you're dealing with direct light. I prefer the vibrant colours and sharpness of the text/graphics. The nano texture or mate finishes will remove some of the sharpness.

think of it has a 32in iMac display.

Just reached out to Kuycon re updating to MacOS Tahoe 26 and received this response:

"Based on previous user feedback about slow response, it is recommended not to upgrade to OS26 yet"

When asked to elaborate they replied:

"There are no settings available on the monitor side; we need to wait for macOS to continue updating and become compatible"

Tahoe on a M2 MacBook Air works fine. I had to complete the setup (there's an intro to the new OS when you first boot the machine) but plugged the USB cable that came with the monitor and all seemed fine. saying that, I'll wait a bit longer to update my work machine (MacBook M4 Pro) to the new OS

quick note: the monitor included a flash drive. I assumed it was a software update but haven't used it. been using it straight from the box!

I asked Kuycon about updating firmware via the flash drive and they said the monitor has the latest firmware. I asked about future updates and they said updates happen rarely.

New Youtube review just dropped by a Sam Beckman and this one is one of the better ones I've seen so far:
Enjoyed his discussion about the practical experience of it being glossy; I could see his face reflected in the display, and glare on it at a different part of the review. Some people prefer glossy, some matte, good to see how it presented in the real world.

I want to repeat my message because it seems it has been lost among the others posts.
To the owners of this monitor who don't have HDR option in the settings: Could you do a test for chroma subsampling? Instructions can be found in these posts: link1, link2. Thanks in advance!

But it must also be said that not all glossy finishes are the same. My old Dell UP2715K has an excellent glossy finish, and even though the monitor is now 10 years old, the picture still looks absolutely fantastic! The Apple Studio Display also has a phenomenally good glossy finish. I'm surprised that some Kuycon users think its glossy level is on par with the iMac. I wouldn't have expected the iMac to have such a strong glossy finish.

I haven't heard anything but that the shipping information had been sent to ExFed.

Maybe they're getting these things past Customs by shipping them via paddled canoe...

ExFed states delivery tmrw.

The "Barcode label unreadable and replaced" doesn't provide me with a great deal of confidence....

Circling back to buying from Alibaba. Do the (Swedish in my case) customs add the VAT? So that I can get it back if I buy as a company?

About to pull the trigger on this one not patient enough to wait for the new studio display and a 32” is more appealing,

For those ordering via Alibaba how did you manage to get free shipping ? When messaging them I only receive an automatic AI answer….

Normally, an operator will speak to you. If it was AI, then respect to the AI, because when it comes to shipping fees, it is usually said that Alibaba handles that. But remember that customs duties will be added, and you will have to pay them (depending on how high the customs duties are in your country).

For me, a real person took over like 1 minute in. The AI talked about ~$100 for shipping, but the real person offered free shipping right away + 3 year warranty.

Also, you might have better luck in the morning since it’s middle of the night in China right now :)

these displays have pretty horrible reflection handling compared to the ASD
I was wondering if someone could do a side-by-side of this. In the YouTube video I linked above the reflections seem pretty bad, but it's hard to know if it's actually worse than an ASD.

ASD's glossy glare is obviously there, but completely manageable as long as you aren't looking at blacks with a huge light source reflected behind you.

About free shipping from Alibaba, a real person took over 15mn later:),
Screen ordered, shipping to Belgium, going from a 24” led Cinema Display, should be a nice upgrade!
Not too concerned about the glossy in the last video review posted here he seems to have tons of all kind of lights behind him

The "Barcode label unreadable and replaced" doesn't provide me with a great deal of confidence....

Received, today, at my doorstep.

Right-beastie of a package (and about as battered as any intercontinental creature has ever appeared to be). Initial inspection reveals an inner-package that appears to be entirely intact!

No signature required.

I did not anticipate any Porch-Pirates, as this is a relatively-benign neighbourhood; and, the 'package' looks like it's a bog-standard Ikea end-table.

The Reveal will be in a few-more days, as I am currently teaching multiple kiddos on-the-daily, and elbow-deep into the Exceptional Child course for my MAT....

I'd like to ask real owners of this monitor who don't have HDR option in the settings.
Could you please open this image at full resolution and then observe it and check if any of the lines or text are blurred together.
Providing photo evidence would be greatly appreciated!

Just got mine up, and running.

Here's a photo taken with my iPhone 13-Mini:
