"HDR feature"

max brightness 500 nits.

OOOO KKKKKK.... doesn't even meet HDR600 which is barely HDR.
It’s the same IPS Black panel as the Dell, which is DisplayHDR 600 certified despite listing 450 nits brightness. So 500 nits is not a listing for “max” panel brightness.

Kuycon doesn’t submit its displays to VESA for DisplayHDR certification, but they also don’t have a web site, even in Chinese. Let’s not jump to conclusions. The G32P supports HDR video in macOS when you set it to DisplayPort 2.1 mode.

The only 6K displays that support greater than “HDR600” are the Apple XDR and the Geekon Hero 32.

I hope this doesn't contravene any rules. I've uploaded the review linked by @PaulD-UK and added the subtitles supplied by @excalibur313 to Vimeo:

Thank you for uploading this! I wanted to pull the trigger, but it's just a brand I've never heard of, and don't want to get stuck with junk. I saw the LG Ultrafine 32U990A 6K today and the stand and such looks really nice! And it's cheaper from what I understand? I'm unsure if I should wait for that or not. I've actually heard of LG. lol

I believe Kuycon does have a website if that's what you're referring to? It's https://kuycon.us/monitors/G32P/buy/ (not sure if I'm allowed to post links?) And yes, to me, 500 nits is WAY too low. I use an app called Vivid on my Apple MacBook Pro because the app supports Pro Display. It makes it I think 1000 to 1500 nits? SO much brighter. But I didn't know it doesn't support just the Studio monitors or any non-pro machine display :/

Just completed my order for 1 (one) unit via CC

I will order another if the 1st one meets expectations (low-bar, I know: I've been running three Dell P2715Q's for most of the past decade).

Really appreciate the details, feedback and observations shared here.
Did you order the light bar thing as well? Does it change colors, or is the only option warm white? I didn't know if you could do both, it makes it sound that way, but I didn't see too much info on it...

The LG might be a little cheaper, but it has only a matte coating. So, the LG 6k display is not for everyone an alternative!
The Kuycon G32P has a glossy screen! BTW the Kuycon link you have posted is IIRC not an official website of Kuycon.

This has been discussed repeatedly above and on Reddit -- Kuycon.us and Kuycon.co are *not* operated by Kuycon 酷优客. They are rogue vendor sites. Click Clack is the only authorized vendor for the US and Europe, but you can also buy directly from Kuycon via Alibaba. Taobao ("China's Amazon") also works.

See the links in the 32" 6K WikiPost

I did not add the light-bar.

Just the screen, and the stand.

I currently have an A19 LED desk lamp that I place behind my monitors for reflective lighting....

hey guys. ordered via Alibaba. Kuycon team was great – offered free shipping. Was a bit confusing because I was buying via a UK Business, but I don't have a VAT number. Monitor will replace a 27" iMac and I'll be using it with a M4 MacBook Pro. Will post some updates when I get it.
Per others, fedex send you a bill you have to pay, mine was sent when it was still in the US IIRC.

They don’t declare the full value, declared it as $300us per unit I think.

Isn't the value of goods determined by the supplier (here: Alibaba) and didn't it say somewhere that Alibaba defines the value of goods at around $400? How much tariff did you have to pay to FedEx?

Oh I’m getting lost here.

I’m interested in the kuycom 32” 6k from ClickClack. Has anyone received theirs yet? Would you recommend?

I’m also interested in the LG Ultrafine 32U990A 6K 32”, but the only real information I know so far is a September release date, and I think 5k ports?

I haven’t used forums in quite some time, my apologies. Should I be looking elsewhere?

I really like the design of the Kuycom, but LG has had a reputation for years which is a high selling point for me also. And I see nothing about it on their website. I would think a preorder would be somewhere at least?

Your deciding factor here is time.

LG very unlikely IMO to be cheaper than kuycon. It may be a better display, it may not.

Comes down to whether you want one in two weeks or two months. As you note, without even a pre order it’s truly unknown when it’s going to land

My biggest concern is just the returnable factor if It's not what I need or up to my expectations. I've never used ClickClack before, so I don't know how reliable of a company they are to order from. Price point is good. But I'm just afraid to order from them. I'm in the US.

We've seen Kuycon offer support for people who have had defective units. I feel like you're in good hands if you notice something 'off' on the unit you've received. However I'm not really sure how tariff policy will hit you on any replacement units if needed... could be messy.

My opinion is go with Kuycon if you value design over support. I have gone back and forth, but still have a preorder for the Asus ProArt 6k monitor that will likely ship in a couple of weeks. I have a hard time going with Kuycon for something this expensive as they have no support structure within North America. However the Asus sure ain't a pretty thang!

Some users here on the forum have already ordered the Kuycon G32P. I would say 50% ordered the monitor from ClickClack and the other 50% from Alibaba. I don't know what your experience with hardware is, but it seems that all hardware is produced in China these days. I suspect that Asus monitors are also assembled there. At most, the design/plans are still created elsewhere, but production takes place in China. In that case, a Chinese brand shouldn't make much difference.

Did you order from ClickClack? How was your experience?

Yes. We've only just agreed-upon the location of our first blind-date, so I don't have any particularly juicy details to share . . . basically on-par with every other online purchase that involves inter-continental items I've never actually held in my hand(s). The wait begins...

My confidence increased when I saw that CC is using XFed, rather than Oops.

If by "returnable" you mean no questions asked and you want to be able to return it just because you changed your mind, then maybe Kuycon is not for you. It's an unknown. You should ask Click Clack and see what they say.

No one here has tried to return a Kuycon for any reason other than damage (one person) -- Kuycon sent a new display immediately, before the damaged one was returned (the damaged one was returned using the shipping container the replacement came in).

I was excited about the LG monitor until I saw it doesn't appear to come in glossy, which means that Kuycon seems to be the only good alternative. I don't expect XDR quality but would love to know how it compares to the Studio Display. It seems like these input ports should be able to do full bandwidth without DSC on both Mac and PC which would be nice since being able to switch easily between Mac and PC is one of my biggest requirements.

Unfortunately, I felt exactly the same way. I also thought that the LG would come in glossy, but instead it comes in this awful matte coating. Now I'm also focusing on the Kuycon G32P.
