All the recent rumors (and the supposedly leaked picture) say Core 2 Duo. Clock speeds match up with dual-cores too although custom CPUs aren't impossible.
They had 7300GT in the first Mac Pros, so it's not the first time.

It's a quiet update meaning what you see on the website is what we get. No announcement, no event.
Actually, there isn't an event. It's just a basic, speed boost update... so really nothing THAT exciting. It's just been forever since Apple updated these products, so we're all looking forward to it.
It Apple wants, they could be updating their site all day!

That's actually in dollars, but by the time Mr Taxman sticks his oar in, you're looking at ~£500 for the base model.
I should just call the Apple store in Manchester UK, say look, if I come down now, are you going to give me an old iMac or a nice updated one..

There's no event. Just a silent update on the Apple site. However, an event on March 24th is rumored to happen.
Calm down. Jobs is in the hospital (or so they say...), and he has no control over the release time. It's planned to come back online at 9 A.M. Eastern time (EST).
Then why post it? Please, let's agree to only post useful information.
At this point we have about 50 minutes left to wait.
But there already is a 3.06Ghz iMac 24, and the other speeds match from memory. Moving to 4Gb of ram as standard isn't that much of an update.

I was in NZ once.

The imacs will NOT repeat NOT be quads. iMacs use mobile processors, and there is NO Quad mobile released.
