If they are custom quad cores, I would lay down money right now. If not, I'm sticking with a MacBook. 600Mhz isn't something I'll miss. They had better add a damn good GPU.

But there already is a 3.06Ghz iMac 24, and the other speeds match from memory. Moving to 4Gb of ram as standard isn't that much of an update.

It is if it's DDR3. This will mean a whole new chipset + new graphics :) This will be an important update imo!

Still no good - definitely no # on UK keyboards, like we never need it? (OK, it's alt-something I think - I normally just find one and copy/paste)

# is alt-3 and is kinda important if you do any web design if you want to style ids in CSS

I should just call the Apple store in Manchester UK, say look, if I come down now, are you going to give me an old iMac or a nice updated one..

They usually know just as much as we do... I imagine they're all sat in the offices out back doing the exact same thing as we are!!! Last Feb i bought a new macbook and the following hour they released the new ones... i called up the store who had already sent it to me and i had to send it back to them... didnt even open it up. got a nice new one anyway!

2.93 GHz wasn't there. And the lowest clock is now 2.67 GHz not 2.4 GHz (second lowest is still 2.67 though).

The imacs will NOT repeat NOT be quads. iMacs use mobile processors, and there is NO Quad mobile released.
Three quad-core mobile CPUs have been released. 2.0/2.27/2.53 GHz.

I was in NZ once.

I was walking through a field when I seen a farmer standing behind a sheep.

"Are you sheering that sheep" I asked

"NO! get yer bloody own" he replied:eek:

well the numbers are in our favour, anyway we use our manners these days, mum said never to play with my food.
