Forgive me, but that doesn't sound like simple physics. It sounds like you postulating. Admittedly, I am out of my depth when discussing photography, especially computational photography. But even my cursory googling of computational photography throws doubt on your theory. In fact there are so many elements involved, it's a bit overwhelming, but consistently, none of that info supports your assertions. I'm not casting aspersions, I'm genuinely curious. I'd like to know some actual facts... so that I can steal them at a later point in time and claim them as my own.

Most of what I've seen thus far seem to be based on IFTTT logic. As in, this is what I think because of this, then that must also be true.
With all these companies including all these camera's in all these different configurations... let's just say I have doubts that Huawei stumbled upon a superior solution with the squircle config.
