I'm more interested in seeing some renders of that rumored 5.3" or 5.4" model or whatever it was, but I bet it will be like a smaller XR.
Geez. Just make the phone a tiny bit thicker and lose the bump. Added bonus: more room for battery!
How so? It's not like there isn't precedent. The iPhone 6 / 6S / 7 / 8 are all using the same basic hardware design differentiated by only spec updates. Apple is essentially on a 3-year design cycle with all of their major product lines.Everyone goes on and on about no reason to upgrade every year, but this takes the cake. If they keep this same exact design, notch, triple camera, it's an S model on an S model. That's bold.
What methodology did you use to conduct that study? Please share the results. I am sure you're far better and more experiencee at market research than Apple.
I don’t think most iPhone users know anything about Samsung or Motorola nomenclature, I know I don’t, anyway. A class vs. S class doesn’t mean anything to me. But surely if you’d have said A class vs. B class, I’d know A class is better. Whatever RS6 means, it being being better than S6 doesn’t make your case since R comes first before S. Letters later in sequence being “better” doesn’t have the automatic meaning you think it does.Only that with phones we‘ve been taught that higher is better. Galaxy S is better than Galaxy A for example, or Moto Z is better than Moto E or G. And since you mentioned Schiller and the car reference, an S class is better than an A class and an RS6 is better than an S6, and an S6 is still better than than an A6. It‘s okay, you have your opinion and I have mine. For the third time, neither of us will know for sure until September.
The X and XS camera bump depth is a 1.2mm.That's about 2-3mm there, which'd be about 30% thicker over all, that's going to feel hideous compared to now. No thanks.
I clearly said "I think" and never claimed to be "far better" or "more experienced" at market research. Still doesn‘t mean Apple is perfect at it, otherwise there wouldn‘t be the trash can Mac Pro for example. Also don‘t know why you‘re being a bitch, I didn‘t even disagree with you. Get off your high horse.

Well, that might be the case with grades in the states. You’re right about the 5c timing, but wrong that a letter coming after another in sequence somehow means the second letter denotes better or higher. We’ve been trained from a very young age that the first letter is “better”.

What iPhone users do know is $749 is less expensive than $999. Price tells you everything you need to know; you don’t have to attempt to divine it based on first/second/higher/better letter sequence or designations. That’s certainly not Apple’s intent, merely you assigning an inference.
btw I don’t know why you’re keeping track of how many times you refer to the September release; this site is based on rumors and speculation. If you’d rather not speculate and just want to wait until September when we’ll know for certain, feel free. If it’s other than 11R, 11 and 11 Max I’ll be surprised, but it won’t be the first time![]()
Waiting for the 20 more threads on this until we decide the render is real.
How can it be thicker and wider, have the same screen size and still have a reduction in bezel size?
Thought you were doing a parody post with the "If Steve were alive" intro, but now I realize you're serious...If Steve were alive, it wouldn’t be real. Neither would The Notch. Design was important, a main focus even...during his tenure...
