Even if I did have a iPhone 4 with the dropped call problem, I would never be a part of this. The law firm is just taking advantage of greedy people and is trying to make a buck against Apple. That might as well be as bad as the issue with the product. If people are having issues, they can return the phone, just as others said. I really hate these law firms with their class action lawsuits against anybody who makes a mistake.

As an Apple stock holder, I'm glad Apples response to the issue isn't as idiotic as "just return it". Granted, Jobs responses have been dumb, but at least he isn't encouraging hundreds of thousands of people to dump the phone.

Apple screwed up big time. And yes I know this upsets the fanbabies among us because in your tiny minds you see this as ammunition for Android fanboys, but trust me, this is bigger than your little nerd pissing contest.

If one person gets rich in order to get the famously wealthy Jobs to put out a quality product, I'm all for it.

If people are unhappy with the phone simply return it. So lame... Class action law suits make one person rich and that's the lawyer.

Apple needs to make iPhone 4S asap.. "S" for Signal..

Stay tune...seems like there trying to fix this problem with next iPhone 4 that are begin made for second shipments..this is most likey hardware problem not software..they should give bumpers out for free to people have problems till they get it fixed..

Yeah some phones do lose bit of a signal when held but iPhone 4 seem more of a problem due to the antenna outside..they should clear coat it with some sort of static material..

Let's see what apple gets for this bad apple..:apple:

its not whats wrong with the lawyers, its whats wrong with a law system that would allow them to do this and make it worth while for them. This country is all about the land of the free, so we can't blame the lawyers

Typical scenario

Apple introduces new product. Reviews are good. Lines form. Abuse begins, opportunists complaining. Lines continue to form. Soon, all is forgotten, millions of happy customers. Happens every time, as Apple is held to standards unseen for any other mfr.

How is this lawsuit worthy? Apple aren't refusing returns or anything! If you don't like it, return it! Where is the injustice?

^This.

How can they justify any sort of lawsuit? If you don't like the reception on your phone, take it back, 2 year contract is cancelled, your money is returned. You are out NOTHING.

If you are having major issues with your phone and decide to keep it past 30 days, thats your fault.

I'm perfectly happy with my iPhone 4.

if yall dont have any respect for apple and dont care then dont buy the dam iphone ...its just that simple..for me steve jobs is god and he know wat he is doing....just shut up and do your work cz yall aint going to get nothig out if it and apple is not a small compnay where a lawsuit is going to cause them to shut it dwn...u poor people bloody KCR aint no one gonna support yall because we love our iphones to death...yall bloody poor people firm dont have nything better to do...just look at the sales figueres 1.7 mill in 3 days...no body gonna support u or ur lawsuit...get the eff outta here before steve jobs shows his color and personally kill yall

lolwut?

steve jobs already said it's a non issue. there's no reason to expect a software fix.

i think a lot of customers will only realize their phone is defective after the return period.

so, nothing wrong with the lawsuit.

Seriously....I wish you attorneys, and anyone who signs up all the worst. Thank you for ruining the moral fiber of America. People, this is the cost of being an early adopter. Besides, more than likely, Apple will have a software upgrade in short order that will eliminate this problem. And those of you that think you will "get something" out of this, please; you will get a $20 iTunes store credit and the attorneys will make millions.

So if you sign up, you should be ashamed. Before you flame me for this post, take a minute and think about the true ramification and end result of this class-action lawsuit.

While I agree with you... I would rather get a $20 gift card out of it instead of a "if you don't like it, don't use it" response. While I don't agree with who benefits the most out of these things, unfortunately, this is how our country works. If apple decides to be stubborn about this (which they are notorious for) this may be the only thing that can be done to get some results.

I have been lumped in one of these massive class action lawsuits before. I got something like 10 dollars out at the end of the thing. This will probably not do anything for the owners of the iPhone, and it certainly will not fix the issue. The only people who will benefit are the lawyers who take a big cut of the money.

And then if Apple raises the product prices and no one can afford it, perhaps that'll make them think twice before releasing a defective product and calling it a "non-issue". That's how the free market works.

I just don't want lawyers involved. They don't care about anyone or anything except themselves and making money.

I guarantee you if this case actually made it to trial and won, we would see $10-$20, which is useless. While the lawyers receive millions and Apple's bottom line is completely screwed.

The lawyers will win if there's a lawsuit.. not the consumers.

I would agree with you if you can explain what you mean by "the only thing that can be done to get some results."

I know. Apple should take lessons from how the Droid is made. Pure perfection.

This has nothing to do with Droid. I didn't even mention the Droid. Hell, I don't even own or want a Droid.

While I agree with you the one thing this does do is provide exposure, albeit negative, to the issue at hand. Hopefully this just lets Apple wake up and see that they may want to investigate the claims now.

In the end, participants of a class action lawsuit usually don't end up with much money when you're one of thousands. I think I have a check for $12 from SBC or something along those lines somewhere around here. ;)

Agreed. If the CAL gets Apple to admit there's a problem and fix it, that's good for the participants, but the only ones who will actually benefit are the lawyers.

I think this is a bit premature. Give them a few weeks, if they don't fix it, then by all means sue them and get us all a free bumper.
No way am I waiting weeks to have a phone that works properly. Thank goodness someone is taking the initiative to get this done and send the message to Apple that simply saying "hold your phone differently" is completely unacceptable.

Oh, and I don't want one of those ugly bumpers... that's not a fix.

Meh.

I detest class action lawsuits.

I would agree to them ONLY in cases of repeat negligence (like the coffee incident) that causes some sort of grievous injury or loss of life, wages, etc.

The thing drops calls sometimes? Meh.

Apple will sort it out. People who cannot wait can just return the d@mned thing already.

I agree with the others who are saying that this sort of suit pretty much guarantees that Apple won't fix the problem and will be forced to deny the problem.

And the lawyers will get rich, and the people who kept the phones will get a free bumper (if they are lucky) for their troubles.

Soooo not worth it.

It may cost a lot of money to sue a big company, but it doesn't cost as much as lawyers charge.

Now, if there was only some guarantee that the money would go to the people who were affected, with lawyers only making a modest fee? Yeah... I might change my stance on this.

I'd opt out.

I agree with this 100%!!!
