? - Announcement/Release
Just wondering in relation to their other product releases this year:
e.g. Have Mac Pro/ iMac in March, iPhone at WWDC, then Snow Leopard WWDC <-> August time, then back to school , new iPods etc.
~115 days till WWDC (unknown proper dates).
So going through the Buyers Guide:
Days it would be since update, if refreshed at WWDC (Average number of days between refresh)
At WWDC
iPod Classic 171 (Avg 251)
iPod Touch 271 (185)
iPod nano 271 (285)
iPod shuffle 271 (223)
Mac Mini 670 (188) !
iMac 405 (211)
Mac Pro 518 (217)
MacBook 236 (195)
macBook Pro 236 (197)
MacBook Air 236 (273)
iPhone 332 (126)
LCDs 795 (230)
XServe 516 (344)
If it is a recent version of what will be the v3 iPhone back, would people anticipate an equal length of time to market?
If so that would make it more like June? In essence, a release at WWDC, rather than a big wait? If so, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be rumours of the ramp up for the new model, and wind down for the old one, unless Apple is expanding the line, rather than discontinuing the current 3G iPhones.
wrt to the screw position issue - I'd imagine that other Apple products have had to work within positional constraints before (be it fan position, casing dimensions etc). Anyone got a picture of the back of an original iPhone to compare? (e.g.
