Surprised 64 GB isnt enough storage for some of you, with the cloud my 64gb iphone X is almost always half free in terms of storage. Do a lot of you not use cloud storage?

Also, I cant wait to see the yellow XR. That sounds so dope.

I may be part of the minority but the storage options finally look decent to me. I always approach upgrade cycles as, "is this worth it?" If I can't answer a definite yes, I buy AAPL instead.

This has me sitting on a iPhone 6 still and I now feel like the storage is finally in line and pricing for the regular customer. To me, Apple Music and such help people not need the full blown storage options. While I use Apple Music, I still store all my "favorite and must have music" on my phone.

I honestly don't see what people need 256gb/512gb in a phone? I create content too and the only thing I can think of is the people that never delete anything. That falls under the Apple services side as well with iCloud.
I tend to use both the cloud and my onboard storage and don’t delete anything. My connection to the cloud can at times be painfully slow and hampered by a variety of issues unique to the regions in which I live and travel.

64 is the new 16 that everyone moaned about in the past. But now everyone is pissed with 64. Geeze
BECAUSE they have the option to have 128 gig which will suit the majority of the population. So people that had 128's in the past are now forced to go 256 for 150$ more on an already 1000$ phone which is nonsense.
its like having storage sizes of 16 32 64. then the following year taking out the 32 gig completely raising up the price of the 16 and jacking up the price of the 64 150$ more.
Wouldnt you be mad at that?

Pity that we already everything know, where is the surprise? :(
We know nothing about any improvements to the devices. Names and sizes are all we know - not particularly exciting.

Btw, why does MacRumors keep writing “XS” and “XR” when it’s clear based on Apple’s usual naming conventions that it will be “Xs” and “Xr”?

The XR reminds me a little of the iPhone C with all the color options. Will be the entry level iPhone for sure.
So the R means Rookie?
Don't like the naming at all.

Would be nicer to have just iPhone names like Mac OS X Names. iPhone X Mojave & X Mojave Pro -> everyone just knows when it came out, if its the same naming as on OS X. Or just kill the X completely. iPad doesn't have any number. It's just iPad and iPad pro. Use iPhone & iPhone Pro. Only difference is the year.
looking like the CHEAP version starts at 850$ haha well then

Hmm..Going to be very difficult to choose. Honestly, I don't need a 256 GB nor 512 GB but I also feel like 64 GB is not enough. Why can't they bring back the 128 GB on the XS and XS Max? I have no interest in getting the XR if it will have LCD. I guess I'll stick with the 256 GB but will have to decide if I want to get the XS or XS Max.

No unlocked - sim free models available shown! Ugh!:(
But it will show up after 1 month. Since I'm in the iUP, I'll get that on launch day but I'll also be getting the sim-free models when it's available in the U.S. The one on iUP will strictly be for ios beta testing only.

It's not their usual naming convention though, otherwise they would have gone with "Xs", "Xs Plus" and "Xc". I'm not saying it'll definitely be "XS" and "XR" but there is a possibility.

Yay

I hate spoilers, but this one didn't bother me, but MacRumors should have take a little more care to not spoil the entire keynote today. The story should have been spoilered completely.

512 gigs? That's quite a bit. I have a 256 gig X and don't even come close to using the space. I don't do much with it however except work stuff and maybe word searches.

I'm wondering if the lower end model will have iPhone X internals? Similar to what they did with the SE having the same insides as the 6S?

Yes like wtf. Why couldn’t they just call it the iPhone...

Agreed.

There seems to be little confusion with the naming of the iMac. You click Buy and then configure screen size and other specs as you wish.

XR, XS and XS Max sounds like it belongs on a boy racer, whale-tailed, fake carbon fibered, buzzy exhaust piped economy car.

Where is the 1TB version?

Single chip 1TB's don't exist yet. The only way you are getting to 1TB with current phone tech is with a MicroSD card, like the Note 9 can do.

A 512gb Max is going to be nearly $1500

I'd still get it. Go large or go home. In fact, I would not even consider upgrading from the X if the max was still only 256GB.

If there's not actually going to be an iPhone SE2 I think this may be the time I retire my 5S and go for another manufacturer. I just don't like screen sizes any bigger than that.

I don't like the subscription music model that is so popular these days. The vast majority of my music collection is ripped from CDs or purchased as individual song downloads. Keeping all that on my phone takes up space. I'm currently using 66 GB of 128 GB on my 7+, so I guess I have to go up to 256 now because going down to 64 isn't an option for me.
