If there's not actually going to be an iPhone SE2 I think this may be the time I retire my 5S and go for another manufacturer. I just don't like screen sizes any bigger than that.

Does anyone make a good phone that is the size of the 5S/SE anymore?

It seems like even the "small" versions of modern smartphones have grown quite a bit.

It's funny how Sony has the balls to use the term "compact"... :p

What happened to the simple naming and product line that saved Apple? What a mess!

The rumor industry and the hype once were Apple’s best marketing tools.
Now it’s leaving it only some platitudes and a few wallpapers/emoji to be revealed

Very true. Perhaps Tim Cook has leaked all these things on purpose so at the end he can say 'Oh and there's one more thing....we'd like to announce Apple car'!

That’s just sloppy file management. You don’t need to carry all of those books and audio books all at once. It takes seconds to download a book over data anyway

Guess Apple stopped caring about surprising consumers.

I was just thinking last night too, that no new iPad data leaked so they probably won't include them in today's releases.

I don’t understand this. Does it change how you use the phone?

No!

So stop whining.
For that matter, they might as well call them Galaxies (as a tribute to the inspirator: RAM, screen tech and size, bezels...)

I may be part of the minority but the storage options finally look decent to me. I always approach upgrade cycles as, "is this worth it?" If I can't answer a definite yes, I buy AAPL instead.

This has me sitting on a iPhone 6 still and I now feel like the storage is finally in line and pricing for the regular customer. To me, Apple Music and such help people not need the full blown storage options. While I use Apple Music, I still store all my "favorite and must have music" on my phone.

I honestly don't see what people need 256gb/512gb in a phone? I create content too and the only thing I can think of is the people that never delete anything. That falls under the Apple services side as well with iCloud.

My local music collection is 30GB alone. Not to mention that I like to take 4k60fps videos which take a lot of space.

You shouldn't need more than 32-64GB tops, with iCloud. People are insane about having the model with the largest amount of storage though, so they can brag to their friends. Weak.

Erm no

A lot of people store a huge amount of films/shows/files/downloads

It’s impossible to use 32GB even for those who don’t use it for much

If you have to store that many shows/movies/videos on your phone, again, you have problems. I know the truth hurts.

I don't like the subscription music model that is so popular these days. The vast majority of my music collection is ripped from CDs or purchased as individual song downloads. Keeping all that on my phone takes up space. I'm currently using 66 GB of 128 GB on my 7+, so I guess I have to go up to 256 now because going down to 64 isn't an option for me.

Right, a large portion of my library is old ripped music, mixtapes, and other music not on Apple Music. With the iTunes iCloud library you don't have to have them stored offline though, Apple will upload them to the cloud for you to play on any device.

But I think it requires an Apple Music subscription or Itunes Match purchase to get that feature though, so I can understand you not wanting to make that purchase. I think its a really convenient way to listen to my music though.

Lame naming!
Awful Color scheme, where is the cool and modern Apple?

I can’t understand what is in Apple marketing mind since the Apple Watch!

Yes... those files are huge. But do you leave them on the phone forever?

I mean... I get it. You want every photo and video you've ever taken on the phone to remain on the phone.

I just hope you have some sort of backup/redundancy plan though.

One drop on concrete and your video collection might be gone! :p
