When I pre-ordered my Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro, I spent an entire week obsessively scouring Google and YouTube reviews to find the best case to show off and protect my new phone. I ended up deciding on a Mous Clarity case to show off the color and sleekness. Unfortunately, Mous did not yet have a Clarity case for the iPP at the time. So, while I waited, I ordered a Forest Green leather case from Apple; just to have something on my phone to protect it. I have since grown to really like my Apple leather case!

Last week, I got an email from Mous that the Clarity clear case was finally available for the iPP. I ordered it because that's the case I had originally wanted and still was interested in checking out how it looked on my phone. It arrived this past Saturday. I took it out of the packaging, put it on my phone, and almost immediately regretted my purchase. I slipped my iPP back in to its Forest Green leather case and filed the RMA with Mous within 15 minutes of opening the package! I just love the sophisticated look of the Apple leather case too much to part with it.

Anyway, here's a pic of my case after 2+ months of daily use. If it has developed any patina at all, it's too even for me to really tell. Of course, I don't have a NIB forest green case to compare it to. So, maybe it really is getting a nice even patina. Once a week, I take my phone out of the case and use a little dab of "O'Keeffe's Working Hands" hand cream. I rub it into all the leather parts of the case until it is fully absorbed. I use a soft cloth to wipe off any excess around the buttons. So far, the case maintains a soft, supple feel without being too slippery or too sticky. I just love this case and do not wish to replace it with any other.

Okay, figured I'd post an update on the condition of my forest green Apple Leather case for my iPhone 11 Pro. I've been using it for 9+ months now. Other than being slightly darker in some spots and having a few scuffs here and there from being dropped, it's still going pretty strong and looking good. I really, Really, REALLY like the look and feel of my Apple leather case. It feels great in my hand and has aged very well. Due to some of the scuffs and tears it has endured (especially on the corners from numerous drops), I decided to look at getting a new case. However, I just couldn't bring myself to swap it out for any other brand's case. I like the Apple leather too much. So, I decided to get another Apple Leather case; this time in Saddle Brown. It looks good on my Forest Green iPhone, but it's still too new. Need to let it break in a bit. I'm keeping my FG case, though, just in case I suffer remorse from moving on to a new color. I can always fall back on my old friend!

The problem is though its not great protection for the phone especially from drops. The front where you charge the phone is also exposed.

I might have to disagree. Here's mine after a fall from about 3-4 feet while sprinting. All four corners made contact with the concrete and my 11 pro max is still perfect. I trust this case as far as drop protection.

How old is the saddle brown in the second pic?
A few months for sure although this one did age a lot quicker than my previous saddle brown that I sold.

Case looks really nice
What do you clean it with - like do you use natural cleaner or just wipe it down with a cloth and water?
I do not clean with anything mainly because that will ruin the patina, but I do keep a sanitizer handy at all times so my hands remain germ free

My bullstrap case after a few months. My power button is super loose, it feels like it’s about to fall out haha. The second picture most accurately depicts what the case looks like. In real life it just looks pretty dirty and dingy. The patina definitely is not as nice as my apple case from my +8

Looks pretty spot on with this years apple saddle brown. I guess it’s hit or miss at this point.

So with this post you have thoroughly convinced me to get a Forest Green Leather case for my Midnight Green 11 Pro Max. :D

Just put in the order! Should be here in a few days, hopefully before the weekend starts.

Seeing all these beautiful leather cases just makes me even more annoyed with Apple for not making them to fit the XR.

Eh? That makes no sense, why would Apple not allow XR owners to get Leather cases? I know a lot of people who own XR because they felt the 6.5inch Max is too big and 5.8inch is too small.

My manager has an XR and loves hers to bits.
