Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I’m back!!! I have been disappointed of the fit of the leather cases, especially over the past two years. I decided to try it one more time today. Got the black leather. Fit is the best I’ve seen and the lip is the most uniform I have seen in a while. I am not letting this one go. Only small gripe is mute cutout could be a bit bigger.

Workaround: set up BackTap and choose Mute as your double or triple tap. I can’t remember the last time I used the physical mute switch.

This is as far as I wanted to push mine... due to the cases being “painted” this year instead of actual tanned leather... corners cut... saving up, as this is my second one. Going with either bull strap or nomad for the next one

Update. Contacted Apple today. Due to me doing nothing but cleaning the case, they are refunding money. Nomad has been ordered. Very unhappy. I had this case for the XS and LOVED how it looked after a few months. Painted vs tanned, the QC isn’t what it was with these. Used to be my go to case. Still have a black one on my work iPhone 7.

My edges were rubbing black as well. It doesn’t bother me, but I really disliked the light brown of the new case with the black edges. I had some leather dye lying around so I thought I’d use it on the case. I really like how it turned out. It won’t be for everyone, but I love it.

Update. Contacted Apple today. Due to me doing nothing but cleaning the case, they are refunding money. Nomad has been ordered. Very unhappy. Went digging for a spare charger for my dad and came across more old cases. Kinda making me want to find an old X to get some more use out of these.

My X was my favorite phone. Passed it along to my grandson last year when I got my new 12 Pro. I also had a lot of cases to pass along to him with the phone. I told myself that I would not get a bunch of cases this time around and so far I haven’t. I have the Apple white silicone case on the phone and a backup still in the box.

Yeah disinfectant wipes didn’t destroy my 11P cases. Crap quality

it didn't get like this from the wipes it got this from using after removing the layer that would have come off anyways

Does anyone know if those phone UV-C sanitizer is ok to be used with the leather cases when placing the phone in it? Thanks

Did you die the plastic ring around the camera cutout, too?

I didn’t dye it on purpose, but the dobber to apply the dye isn’t exactly a precision instrument so it was coated. Same with the buttons on the side. They are now a nice rich brown color. I love it.

I’ve been using Phone Soap on mine with no issues.

Black leather on the white Mini. Definitely looks to be more of a gray in a lot of lighting but I think it looks really nice.

I can't imagine using a phone that big. I ended up selling my 12 Pro after getting the Mini because even that was too big for me.

Always thought the plastic would not be good fit for those going for patina proud look because its color is static.

Same here. Although, I still have my 12 sitting in its original box here at my house. 😁 I need to get around to selling it.
