Been curious about this brand too, please post your thoughts when you receive the case!
Here is a picture of the lenses and how far they are from the lip of the case at this angle. If I just tilt the case a hair for a slightly different angle of view, they will be flush. I figured this was the best of the batch taken to try to show this.
Appreciate that, now worried about my sienna looking like that, I wonder if yours is just a one off...are you going to contact bullstrap to see if they’ll replace it?
I have two Bullstrap cases. They sent me two in two different shipments by mistake. I contacted them and told them about it and paid for the second one since I liked the first one so much. That one has never been on my phone until I took these pictures. The second one is pretty close to looking like the one in that picture.
I haven’t contacted them about it.
Hey guys, white iPhone 12 owner here. Thinking about grabbing a leather case for it, as a primary case (currently using a UAG Civilian which I love but looking for something more professional) and I can't decide on the color. I really only like 3: Brown, Black and Blue. I'm wondering about the color evolution doe. Black is black, am guessing it will hold almost exactly the same... which is kind of boring tbh lol. Also for the white iPhone I think both the brown and the blue feel like a better combination.
Which one should I pick? Does the blue leather age well or should I just stick to the "real deal" with the brown leather?

Man those numbers just ruin the whole case! I get if they print the logo or even the company's name, but random numbers? for real??!
Do you see a noticeable difference between your new one and your used one? I don't remember how it looked when I first got it, and if it ever even wasn't flush... Do you think the lip will ever erode to the point where the camera lenses are sticking out?
I do, but it is a very slight difference. I'm suspecting that the new one will do the same thing over time. I suppose that the lenses sticking out may happen given more time using the case, but I'm not chancing that to happen. Bullstrap cases are now out of my rotation of cases that I use.
I personally much prefer it to the cases with random logos on them. Feels like a design feature rather than an ugly advertisement for the maker ruining the case. Having a logo which doesn’t match the phone brand doesnt make any sense IMO.
Maybe a leather sleeve? I’ve been using my Torro sleeve for my mini for a couple days now. It’s nice, protects the phone when I need it to and I can go caseless when I don’t need the protection. It was only $37 shipped off Amazon. Feels much better than my $130 Apple sleeve.
It’s not a complete deal breaker for me since it looks like they’re just printed. I’m sure they’ll just fade over time
Mine felt that way after about 10 days. Then I decided to rub the painted coating off with a magic eraser and put a light coat of smiths leather balm on after. It’s been two weeks and the case feels great, smells like leather, and is starting to darken where my hands touch it most. I think in time it’s just going to get better and better.
I decided to force a patina for my case. I used a scotch Brite pad and with a few minutes of rubbing the brown coating came off.
I really like the case now and the leather actually feels really nice and soft now. The leather looks distressed and lighter brown/tannish.
The picture was hard to capture how the case looks but in person it looks 100% better. I will not apply any coating or oils on it and will let it age like this naturally.
Recently noticed my baltic blue leather case feels a bit weird, like not sticky but sticky... If that makes sense LOL.
Could still be something that you don’t like, but they are not random numbers 😉
That Grams28 case looks niiiiice. I'm so tempted by the blue variant as it's pretty close to Apple's midnight blue I always choose. Problems is I'd have to get myself a black wallet since the baltic blue would look weird with a darker shade of blue.
Yep my black one went the same way so returned it. Even cleaning it with leather cleaner didn’t help.
