Has anyone used a magic eraser on the baltic blue apple case? i am really curious how that looks like
Do you have more photos? That looks pretty good!Amazing what a month of use has done to the case after removing the coating. It feels fantastic in hand and is looking really nice too.![]()
I’m getting a similar result after doing the same thing around 10 days ago. Patina is developing at roughly the same rate as it did on my XS case. It’s more gradual now, not patchy, but the edges (near the volume and power buttons) naturally are significantly darker. These darker areas have a nice reddish hue, very much like the worn XS case. I’ll post images of my case when the patina is more noticeable, maybe in a week or two.Amazing what a month of use has done to the case after removing the coating. My saddle brown leather case for the mini was just delivered. I have magic eraser sheets and pads and smith’s leather balm on hand. I may give your method a try this weekend.Yes. Light coat of Smiths Leather balm. Then just letting my hands rub it.
Here are some additional photos from other angles for you. Depending on the angle it sometimes looks darker or lighter.Do you have more photos? That looks pretty good!
What did you do? Still looks brand new. 🤔 liking the blue brown combo. 👌Amazing what a month of use has done to the case after removing the coating. It feels fantastic in hand and is looking really nice too.![]()
Could you imagine how gross your case would smell and feel if you used apple cider vinegar. ha ha.What did you do? Still looks brand new. 🤔 liking the blue brown combo. 👌
I see it now in your other photos does look a lot darker, let me guess, organic double strength apple cider vinegar. 🤔
😋🍎😂 Won't be long before someone here tires it 🤦♂️😂Could you imagine how gross your case would smell and feel if you used apple cider vinegar. ha ha.
The nomad leather scratches very easily, even light finger nail will do it, it will handle more water than apples with the PVC sides with wet hands, obviously shouldn't get back soaking wet lol. On the nomad site they have a before and after 100 days slider you can see the difference.I have a question or two for you leather case experts.
I’ve a black nomad and I’m guessing I should just let it patina? I’m seeing very light what I can only call scratches but they are not deep at all. Should I get leather protection balm or polish?
Lastly I read people being careful not to get the case wet, I have to ask, why? Being outside with the case abd it raining could be problematic!
Thanks!
Mine is grippy already, although it's summer and humid here now.Although can someone tell me if it gets grippier with time?
I haven’t had the need to apply any sort of conditioner or protectant to my brown Nomad case. I let water get on it regularly and haven’t had a problem. Mine has a decent amount of scratches on is after about a month or solid use. It should be fine without any sort of protectant.I have a question or two for you leather case experts.

I spent last weekend gardening in the rain with mine in my back pocket, and taking it in and out, didn't worry it at all.It will mainly be my around the house and light duties case. Nothing too ambitious![]()
If I let a drop of water sit on the leather it will bubble up once the water is absorbed. But, I can force it back down with my thumb. Thanks for answering both of you.
I did get it given to me so naturally I used an antibacterial wipe on it very lightly and even then I worried I would ruin it lol. It is ok though and it did no harm. I did wonder what exactly would happen if it simply got wet but I’ll not do anything to do get it went for no reason.
