What’s with the black plastic on the side of the case 🤦‍♂️ Thought it was all leather 🤦‍♂️

Liking the look and color of the case, after seeing the black plastic frame, not so sure anymore 😡

But for that, this would be my go to case. The leather quality seems great. But, the sides.. can’t get over it 🤦🏻‍♂️

$65 with delivery, i already have the black non magsafe version.
Are the sides are a hard plastic or a silicone finish?

Microfiber finish on the inside of the case?🤔

Would of looked a lot better if it was one color and all leather. 🤦‍♂️

I like the frame, its not crap plastic, more rubbery silicone feel, doesn't wear or mark, good grip, can use with wet/sweaty hands, more rugged case and will take getting water on it better than apples. I also like the all black front with it.
Microfibre inside. They are 10 grams heavier than Apples.
My Black apple case is like holding on to bluetac lol.

macaddict in Melbourne sell them think they have a shop?

Hmmm, liking what I’m hearing so far, keep us updated when you receive the brown case.

guys why are we not talking about how to fast patina your iphone 12 leather cases, since everyone is complaining about it -- for the coat been too thick this time around. fyi: i just ordered up mine and came here to lookup techniques to expedite the patina, but to my surprise we are talking about nomad leather cases 😭

So far I’m really enjoying the Decoded leather case more than I thought I would. The buttons aren’t as firm anymore still not as good as the Apple leather case, but enough improvement to enhance the experience. The quality of this leather is truly remarkable I can’t stress it enough. It real puts the apple leather case to shame and surprisingly its more snug than the apple leather case as well. The metal ring around the camera gives it a nice premium look and feel. I will do a follow in a few months on well it patinas.View attachment 1731500
How is the give? Is it loose? Dust magnet? How strong is the magnet? Also, are the buttons better than Nomad?

The leather is too THIN this time, if you try to do anything to it, it will remove the layer of leather and turn black. Try going back a few pages if the last 20 posts are not doing it for you.

I’m really torn about this leather MagSafe case. Compared to previous years the quality of the leather feels inferior. Obviously its strongest pull is the MagSafe capability. I love the charger and the wallet, and will probably buy the battery pack when it launches. It’s the biggest reason I’ve decided to stick with it.
However, even as I look at other leather cases out there, I haven’t been able to find a comparable on in size and weight. It’s really hard to make a good leather case without making it super bulky and heavy. I think Apple did the best they could with the new design and added weight/thickness of the magnets. I feel like the longer I use this case, the more I appreciate it.

Is it the leather actually WEARING thru to the plastic backing OR the color coating wearing out?? No matter how thin leather is, it should not just wear thru.

I’m loving the Nomad case. I just ordered a second one. I’ve got two Phone Rebel cases here that I haven’t even tried on my phone yet because I’m liking the Nomad so much right now. Hopefully my second one doesn’t take 10 days for a two day shipment to get here again.

I removed the coating on my leather case and the leather is fine. I haven't worn through. The leather feels much better with the coating gone. I can't comment on if the leather is any thinner than before as they didn't make an Apple leather case for my prior phone (XR) so I can't compare.

I’ve been disappointed with the Baltic Blue case for my 12PM - Upon receipt it had a strong chemical smell and the fit doesn’t seem quite right as the corner of my phone occasionally pops out. The leather also seems quite thin, although I’m relatively new to the world of leather cases so perhaps this is normal. On a positive note, the buttons are fantastic.

I caved and purchased the Nomad Rugged (MagSafe) - Really impressed with it! The leather smells and feels great, the phone fits snuggly inside and the case is comfortable to hold. The only issue I have with it are the buttons which are really firm and “mushy” when pressed...I’m hoping they will loosen up over time. Anyone have experience with Nomad cases?

Yeah my nomad I would say has rather firm buttons but not to the point of ruining it for me.

Granted they’re not like my Ringke onyx or Tech21 but they are still ok.

Maybe take the phone out and press them firmly to loosen them a bit?

Another forum member kindly informed me of the razor blades method to slice just one side of the button a touch and that loosens it. I’d be worried to try it myself lol

Such a shame! I’ll read through the thread to try and find the razor blade trick - Thanks for letting me know! Apart from the buttons, I really like the case.

I went for the rustic brown (Pacific Blue PM)

Nice! I have black but would love to see the brown.

Anyone that’s looking for a great leather case check out Bullstrap! Open bottom, great buttons, all the colors smell and feel great, thin, light and wear in really well. I just ordered another one! That will make all 4 of their colors that I can swap out! Highly recommend.
