I love my leather case, except for the opening on the bottom. Does anyone remember the iPhone 5 Leather case that completely covered the bottom of the phone? This new style makes me OCD about all of the scratches into the silver.

Yeah I remember it. I don’t think your phone will touch a surface on the bottom because the leather protrudes a little to protect it.

The stripes are the natural texture of the leather they just show more due to the patina.

Allright, this makes quite a lot of sense actually. I didn't notice these stripes when I first got the case.

Same here. I had a blow out in one corner but I think it adds personality

I too have an aubergine case. It's just so dark, it doesn't really show dirt... And I'm constantly returning cases because my jeans dye all the fun colors REAL quick

I have the midnight blue and appreciate it for this very reason. Looks black unless it catches the right light.

Didnt use any products at all, only wiped it down with the microfiber cloth few times a week.

I have one, too, but haven't used it in a while (it's more of a "winter color" for me). It's true that it doesn't show any dirt, but then, mine hasn't darkened enough yet, as compared to the one posted by Ermir444.

Jeez I've never seen a case in such a bad shape. It's very beaten up and probably offers less protection now. Unless you like it that way, I think it would be time for a new one.

Looks like this item doesn't ship to Canada. I have to buy it from Apple store.

I’ve been using my iPhone X naked for a while and then got a slim transparent case. I also bought apple Red leather case and never used it as I didn’t quite like it. But after going brought this thread I’ve gone to Apple store and bought the saddle Bowen leather case today!!

I've been using Apple cases (leather and silicon) all the time on my X. I carry my iPhone in a handbag (mostly) but also on my jeans back pocket (occasionally). Never had scratches whatsoever. I love these cases because they protect the phone very well while looking good and being practical (you can use any docking station which many cases that protect the bottom don't allow).

Here it is. Funny that you posted this now.
After reading this thread I got convinced to buy the saddle brown even though I already had the red leather. With a few days the saddle brown is not as appealing anymore. I may rerun that and keep the red

I haven’t used it much. I’m not a big fan of cases to being with. I bought the red case when I broke the back glass of my iPhone X. Used it for a day or two and then bought the saddle brown. Don’t like that after a few days. My kids also tell me the red case looks a lot better. So I may end up using this one. I also have a clear transparent case which is quite slim and don’t feel bulky at all. So in May end up using that also.
To answer your question if you don’t mind using cases red leather looks fine. Go ahead Anne buy it from Apple store. If you don’t like it you can always return.

I dropped my phone the other day - shattered the tempered glass screen protector but the phone was alright. Put a nice gash in the leather case. So I decided to get a new one (keeping the old one for a backup).

8 months used (left) --- new (right)

Caved and bought a new saddle brown today after dropping my beautiful old one and destroying the corner. It somewhat “healed” itself bac over time but developed a “bump” looking area along the top where the impact was. Anyway, impatiently waiting for the patina effect again.
